What I'm trying to say with respect to housing is that after playing EQ2, I have zero interest in FF14 housing. EQ2 housing is instanced, so there is no need to "stay up all night clicking to buy a fake house", which is something the FF14 devs could easily do, too, since I think they're smarter than the current EQ2 devs (who didn't even develop housing to begin with).

Since I don't believe the FF14 devs are stupid, not by a long shot, I believe that they deliberately want you to "stay up all night clicking to buy a fake house".

If you're OK with that, cool.

I've known better housing in MMO's, so FF14 housing just doesn't interest me. It provides nothing that is useful to me, compared to other MMOs I've played.

From what I've seen in FF14, non-instanced housing is just a status symbol, and I just don't have an epeen.

And if there was a good reason to "stay up all night clicking to buy a fake house", I'd leave this game instead of doing that.

I'm a former EQ player, and so know what "Evercrack" means, and will never do that again. And so clicking on a fake house all night is not something I would would even consider.

I've sat and watched a stump for days for a class quest in EQ.

I will never do that again.

Edited Note: I do think that the FF14 devs have missed the boat for failing to recognize how easy it would be for them to fulfill some people's dreams.
