The reason for not adding male Viera was not because we haven't seen male Viera before; it was that they wanted to add Hrothgar but also wanted to add Viera. Has nothing to do with not seeing male Viera in the past.

Im well aware of why they did what they did, I saw the interviews and have echoed them to people who like to reinterpret and try to read between the lines to find some hidden meaning behind Yoshida's words.

Trials of Mana is a gem and everybody should play it; hell, all the Mana series. Remake Legend of Mana, but make the blacksmithing thing be less obtuse. Also, I think they hired a furry artist for the ToM remake and that's why the Beast people look so good.

Remember, we have never seen a Male Viera in Final Fantasy History, so they aren't obligated to give us Male Viera. Just because Westerners don't like Genderlocked races, doesnt mean it Needs to happen.
If FFXIV is gonna have a Genderlocked race, it would make sense for it to be Viera.

As much as Id love Female Hrothgar to happen, its not the end of the world if it doesn't happen. Its not gonna make or break the game.

I did, a Remaster instead of Remake but I'll take it. Wonderful art and storylines.

There have never been male Viera seen so that is why Viera are to be genderlocked....sure. I suppose that COULD be a valid reason to some, but the same can’t be said for female Hrothgar. The race has as base look from another race in the final fantasy series with the Ronso which clearly has females. So if we were to get them then that would leave just Viera genderlocked and I don’t see that going over well at all.

I’m in no rush to get either gender and I don’t expect them in 6.0, just saying there could at least be a base look for female Hrothgar.

I never stated their reasoning for no Male Viera.
I said they aren't obligated to give us Male Viera.

ANOTHER new race after male viera/female hrothgar? Now I don't see that happening.

Now this here really stings. I would've been behind something like the Burmecians as a potential new race after the current races get "completed". But after the "These might be the last new playable races" statement and this whole situation with the newly implemented ones, that idea was just immediately tossed out the window. It's really disappointing, but whatever I guess.

I know you didn't, that's why I brought it up to rebut your assertion where you used the "never seen before" as part of your statement. You didn't just say they aren't obligated, you used the never seen before to support why.
