So you... agree with me, that there are both hardware and software methods of circumventing game systems, and you're angry about that, or like. What.

That said, it's still in the ToS that we cannot use third-party programs, and I abide by that, and do not expect to be allowed to break the rules and use third-party programs at this time.
It's not quite so obvious to me that this thread's particular interpretation of the rule encompass all programs, considering the apparent state of OP's account, but that said it seems at least unlikely to me they'd get their gil back.

Everything worth earning in FFXIV comes from a commitment of time.

By using a script you are robbing someone else of their commitment by not even being at the keyboard when you buy the plot.
We kind of already had this conversation, doing something that's random for longer than somebody else doesn't earn you the "prize" for having done something random. Even at a glance this really doesn't hold up, I didn't use any tools to get my house, but I also didn't wait and click for hours. I walked up, clicked once, hit purchase. By your standards I cheated someone out of a house by simply using a keyboard, mouse, and 5 minutes of my time at 3AM.

The notion that doing something random for longer gives you a sense of entitlement to the end result is probably some form of the gambler's fallacy.
