Also its quite shocking how much spiteful players this game has, beeing so happy about someone being robed. Autoclicker or not, such behavior is beyond low.

You have to understand people's frustration in this matter. Housing has always been a difficult thing to balance in the game. There are servers were whole FCs will buy up entire sections of housing and scalp. While SE has made incredible steps forward to stop this from happening, it STILL happens. Housing is in high demand because of the lack in endgame content that keeps people busy, as well as the thriving RP community, especially in the Crystal datacentre. People have a right to be upset over people resorting to cheating in order to obtain something they also want.

This person is one of those people who have attempted to cheat their fellow players who play fairly. Not only are they cheating, but they are blatantly lying as well. It is impossible to have a character logged in in one instance, and the same player logged in doing something else. The game just simply doesn't allow it. That's why when you DC, it takes a bit for you to log back in because the server has to register that your individual character is logged out. So this player claimed they had their gil stolen, knowing full well what they were actually doing when their gil was "stolen". They were logged on, AFK, and auto-clicking. The fantastical story of loading in another zone and their gil suddenly vanishing is fictional. This was an attempt to make themselves the victim, and another person (who is playing fairly and using the game's system as it's intended) the villain in this scenario. The OP made this thread with the hope that people like you would cry out at the unfairness of it, and SE would look into it and maybe reimburse them for their under-handed behaviour.

You're a kind person, I can gather that from your post, but the OP won't appreciate your effort for defending them. It's honourable that you would do that for a person who is getting degraded by the community, but honestly, in this situation, the OP is purely at fault and has tried to lie to the community as well as cheat them. They don't deserve your defending them.

I never accused you of cheating, I'm simply saying if you use these programs and someone abuses the hole in it, it's not their fault but yours.

I can't think of a reason you specifically would think I was accusing you saying that, unless..?

Because you sound like a nice and reasonable person, i will try explain why i cant divide stuff like this simply into black or white.


I know all to well what your are speaking about, im from Ragnarok Chaos biggest EU Server and for the longest time all plots are allways sold out. Even with an active demo timer only a very few opend up from time to time and nearly 90% of them are allways in Uldah where most ppl don't want to stay and relocates as soon as they can. For players without a plot its basicly imposible to get a plot in any other zone because as soon one somewhere else opens up you can be sure that minutes later someone realocates there. So the only chances for players without a plot is trying to get a plot in Uldah which also are pretty rare. As soon one opens up you can be sure that 5-10 ppl will camp that plot, depending on the day and time. Even if you use an autoclicker or something else there is no guarantee that you will win because in the end its pure luck who clicks first after the timer vanishes. I allso read a while ago that SE hat implement somekind of detection system that gives autoclickers a disadvantage but no idea if thats true.

But that's only the first part, i don't know if that guy tried to get their first plot ever or if its a house hoarder, but reality is that on a server like mine your chance of getting a plot the normal way is very low if you have a regular live and are not unemployment. Why do i say that? Back than when i was trying to get a plot for my personal house more than 80% (it could even be 90%) allways unlocked in the middle of the night where normal ppl sleep or start getting reddy going to work between 04-07 clock. Sure the new wards helped and we have a lot of new happy plot owners but its already again like before, the demand on our server is simply to high. Ok lets continue, so given that most plots open in the middle of the night (i live in germany) a person with a daily routine (school/work or something else) has only 2 days max each week where they a have a real chance getting a plot and even than there a usually a lot of other players that also try to get this plot. Also a lot of ppl don't know when the plot was abandoned, so they don't know if they have enough time to something else or should stay at the plot. Thats the majority who wants the plot don't dare to leave and sticks around until it opens. While checking manually the placecard you cant to anything else noir ingame or rl, because as soon you leave your post their is a good chance that someone gets the plot (call it bad luck). Given that most ppl dont get lucky on their first time they have to do this stuff over several weeks or even months before they get their plot.

Belive me at some point you start asking yourself what you are doing, no matter how much you want a house its not worth ruining your health, sanity and rl for that. You have to make a decision (if you are not of those person with great luck) either you give up on that and wait until new wards or zone are introduced, like the new zones in ishgard for example but this can take a very very long time, or you start looking for a solution. Im surly no cheater and dislike bots in mmos like everyone else, but because of the mentioned circumstances and other stuff i also was very very close to start using something like an autoclicker because i got lucky after several weeks. But i could only do that because i had a lot of free time back than, today is highly possible that i would start using this stuff after a few days and not weeks because of my new daily routine. Everyone can decide for themselves if that makes me a bad person or not.

I don't care if anyone in this topic likes my point of view or not, but i can understand everyone who uses stuff like that and i would never hold it against them. The plot acquiring system for ppl without a plot is simply shit, SE expects us to sit in front of that dam place card and clicking it nonstop like a stupid monkey for hours and days. From what i have seen on my server i can safely say that for some players (for a example the one with not so much time) it would be absolutely impossible to ever get a plot without a little helper. It has been like this for years on our server, sure new wards help a little but in the end they are nothing more than bandage fixes.

Btw. we have also one of these FCs that owns nearly an entire ward.

Using a bot takes it from extreme effort to no effort at all (while you AFK / sleep). It’s not an acceptable solution to cheat others out of the plot this way. Anyone who gets one by cheating simply does not deserve it.

It took me over a year for to get a house simply because of supply and demand. Even if the total plots doubled there would still be more players than houses. Why should I get one in a couple of days by running a bot and going to sleep?

The system sucks but until they change it, work within the boundaries or risk losing your progress for everything else not related to the Housing system.

Well if you have the possibility to get a plot the normal way this is very good and should of course also been the first choice. But like i said, not everyone has this option, everyone deserves a chance to get a plot and if you cant do that the normal way because of RL circumstances you need to find a solution. We all pay the same sub, so why should a part of the community be blocked out of the content they are paying for? This issue existed for years now and SE knows that, but they are unable or unwilling to provide an acceptable solution for everyone (they where already different topics about that in the general forum).

Besides even using an autoclicker don't gives you that much better chances, so there is no real reason to get to mad about these ppl. I have seen that often enough for myself while trying to get a plot. Even if there where several bots standing around the card most of the time players that clicked the card manually had won. Im not realy sure why, maybe there is some kind of detection system that gives honest players an advantage against stuff like that i don't know. In the end its just pure luck, whoever clicks first after the timer unlocks wins, autoclicker or not. Also there are ways to deal with these bots, there are several things that can interrupt them while you are away.

I know how frustrating and time consuming this whole stuff can be and yes autoclickers are an easy target for your anger. But ppl should think a bit further, they are just symptoms the real one to blame is SE, even if they don't like to hear it. If SE had come up with a better system, nothing of that would happen in the first place.

I feel sorry for those who don't have a house because of the current system, but I don't feel sorry for the OP who took to cheating. Some person is now 7 mil richer and another player may or may not get banned.

RL circumstances will always interfere with achieving your goals in a video game, whether it takes you longer to do something or others are higher level than you etc. Most players are in that boat.

Having an auto clicker does make a huge difference. You're standing next to 5 other players who are not botting and choosing not to cheat, instead of 50 other players with the same attitude as you running an auto clicker if it was allowed. Try your chances then. Bot waits 12 hours just to have a 1 in 50 chance of winning, all the while you can't play the game.

Ban the bots. We need less of them.

No one has the option of using an auto-clicker. It's 'automating play' and explicitly against the TOS. Everyone has a real life, no one is permitted to have programs play their character while they're off living it.
