Why are people so adverse to talking in discord within FC?

I've never been in a clan/guild that had that. That sounds horrific. Last time I was in one that required voice chat, was my old The Division 1/The Division 2 clan, and it was full of people my age and older (mostly brits and americans) and none of them talked like that. I somehow missed the whole rise of Twitch culture. Bragging comes with the territory though, at least for me, as a PvP oriented player it's part of the fun, trash talking with others.

I still will use voice chat on occasion, I just do it with select few people I've known for years. None of them play this game.

Only sus if they are portraying themselves as something via text. It's mostly just jarring, if everyone but them is talking in voice.

It was meant more as a joke, sorry did not add /sarcasm Personally do not care what or how people use discord or what method of communication they prefer.

Though to be on topic myself and my group of friends just rag on one another or others so does not lend itself to others joining since it is riddled with inside jokes. Granted we have one friend that legit half his vocabulary consists of mostly various of pog and pepe. He is fine in voice but text is another story.

I find it much more enjoyable to use while doing content with friends. You can actually have conversations instead of having to choose between being social and doing content.

Yeah, it really only works with people you know, or you click with. I actually find it annoying to casually chat with most people. Unless I know the person, or we get along, it's probably just gonna be restricted to game chatter. Half the people in the shooters/pvp I play/played are toxic as heck, in general. I laugh when I think about this community being around an environment like that.

That's why you need to add an emoji. I try to do that when I am joking. That isn't an uncommon opinion on people with muted mics though. The like on your post is from me, so yeah, maybe you should have.

It’s not easy to use a separate program when playing from PS4. I personally talk on the phone all day for work, I don’t want to come home just to put on another headset and keep talking...

Voice chat can be very distracting when you're trying to focus on what you're doing. Gets annoying to have to repeat yourself (or have someone repeat what they said) because everyone was concentrating on different things.

We'll use voice in FC Discord occasionally but mostly we use it for text chat and image sharing. No one misses out that way.

Why would I want to leave the game, which is in full screen for a third party app when it’s called fc chat in game for a reason? I don’t join the fcs discord and I leave an fc who forces me too. Don’t ruin my immersion for your silly third party app

Joining voice is fine for some things, but otherwise I don’t really want to hear about your neighbor’s best friend’s cousin’s nasty mess over this cutscene or my YouTube video.

Aye it is painful. Man even has blown up emojis that he spams. Our discord is kinda cancer for new people.
