It's part of that general mindset of "it's only Normal, who cares?" where people play far worse overall than they're capable of because "it's easy" and end up making what should have been an easy run a huge mess. Ignoring countdowns is just one issue of many sadly.

Depends on the Roulette/content you're queuing for, as well as the time of day imo.I don't understand how are you all having so many bad DF experiences. For me its almost always nothing remarkable, just usual things like sprouts tanking the floor in alliance raids. I mostly do the roulettes as a tank or healer and its always quick, even something like people ignoring mechs mostly end up one shots.
And since I am on Light DC, its extremely rare for people to write anything besides some form of "Hi" at the start.
I don't find it rage inducing but I do find it annoying when a tank puts one up, so I start to do an opener and then all of a sudden someone impatient pulls, wasting that.

As a RDM, I can tell you we're the last people who should be ignoring a countdown. Doing your opener properly involves using acceleration pre-pull and then beginning with a 5-second hardcast so it's much better for us when tanks use countdowns.Anyone else find people who don't wait for countdowns a bit rage inducing?
Was running Titania normal on my trial roulette, we wiped once and killed it on the second pull, both times the red mage pulled on their own while ignoring the countdown. I really don't get what's so hard about waiting for a 10 second countdown, even a dog can be taught to wait but apparently some people can't be.

This is weeks old, but back on the 17th I had a run of E9 where my WHM co-healer had unfortunately been absent for the whole fight from a disconnect.
I managed to solo-heal it as an AST without a wipe (and under Nocturnal, no less), though god my nerves had my hands shaking the whole time.
If anyone reading this was from that instance and remembers it - I thank every single one of you for the encouragement because I needed it by the end.
And if you were the other healer - know that I don't blame you at all. I actually really enjoyed it, nerve-wracking as it was. ; w;
It definitely seems to be rarer on some DCs than others. My main is on Primal, and generally there's some banter in trivial content (IE: People thrashing and moaning in CT), or silence. Usually people break up the monotony with chatter and things go smoothly.I don't understand how are you all having so many bad DF experiences. My alt, which is on Crystal, has some horror stories under her belt. People are as chatty as they are still capable of wiping in Weeping City and Aurum Vale in the year 2021.
Typically I have very few bad DF runs. Unless it's WoD. Oh, WoD. Ran it earlier today through Alliance Roulette, and we wiped on the first boss due to a tank turning it from side to side constantly(and quite often doing full 360 with it, having the line AoE hit as many people as they could), and another tank provoking from ANYWHERE. Couple that with them not turning their backs for Mortal Gaze, and not even trying to cleanse the doom from themselves...the boss was bouncing all over the place. The third tank...no idea what they were doing because I was too busy trying to keep up with everything. The provoke war kept going through the entirety of the rest of the dungeon(with the one who was turning the boss constantly - which was the tank in my alliance sadly; couldn't kick because people weren't rolling on loot until the next fight was started, and someone would open chest instantly)I don't understand how are you all having so many bad DF experiences. "Mentor" in 'Sirensong Sea', tried to give me "tips" on how to tank, but only after I nearly died to two packs, and had to start using clemency.
First time I've ever had to actually use it. Apparently, Rampart, Shelltron (more than once), Arm's Length, and Reprisal. Just wasn't good enough for him, and he couldn't keep up "healing".
Update: Just did the pull again. No issues until the healer dced, then I just healed myself through it. So... yeah, I don't think it was me there, bud. Healer stayed DCed, so I had to heal myself through nearly the rest of the pulls in the dungeon, including second boss. That's another story in and of itself.

One day I was roaming 77lvl Malikah's Well on my Gunblade and at 1st bossu our healer get itself hit to K.O by AoE. But it was not so grim situation at all cuz we had somebody on dat super runsavior SMN job!
Seconds passes so I've tried to point attention of our comrade by typing "pls res!" in chat, but he never paid attention so we ended up wiped. After this I've tried to explain that SMN has dat cool resurrect ability so next time pls use it. Silly me! Dat player get very offended by my words so he voted me out of Duty with his party body.
Have fun!

I've noticed that particularly shitty players will dc themselves to try and force a votekick so they don't have to eat a penalty."Mentor" in 'Sirensong Sea', tried to give me "tips" on how to tank, but only after I nearly died to two packs, and had to start using clemency.

Thread tax: at the beginning of the week, I did a leveling roulette Copperbell run. Things went rather smoothly, actually, except for something weird that happened: when the slime boss got down to being four slimes, one of them ran off and didn't get killed in the self-destruct that forces the split. We were all confused because that was a new experience for every one of us lol.

In a previous lifetime, I would just tell these people "You got a problem with me, kick me, because you aren't getting anything from me going forward if you've got that much of an issue with me to this point."I've noticed that particularly shitty players will dc themselves to try and force a votekick so they don't have to eat a penalty.
