That would probably be great for folks who RP in the game, and even just people who want to flesh their character out in their head for their own enjoyment. (I don't RP in FFXIV—largely because I think a chatbox in an MMO is probably the worst possible environment for such a thing—but I'm an avid tabletop player and DM, writer, etc., so I do make full backstories for my MMO characters in my head.)

They do have a space on the Lodestone character sheet to write backstory as it is; you just can't view it in game.

Think I saw something like this on WoW, in a video where people were making fun of people erping. Really weird stuff put in those.
