The only ones looking a bit older have no eyebrows (Hello there Hyur Highlanders.)

If done right (skin color, hair color, right shade of paint) you can paint them on and it looks decent. But we should still have the option to have actual eyebrows by default. I had actually intended to make my character's skin a little darker but I'll address that at a later time.

Sorry but no, if you don't like the design of the Characters you should maybe try another game. There are enough other games and mmos with adult appearance and faces already on the market.

I don't understand why wanting more options is a bad thing. It's not like they're asking the devs to take what's available away. They just want more options. Why do you care so dang much? It's also kinda funny, considering such options are available for some races. Look at mine for example. lol

Hrothgar was a good step in the direction of an expanded character palette. I’d love to see more unique options available, rather than five different varieties of pretty.

NPCs and aging are really weird. Cid is 34, but he looks at least 60. Gaius who's supposed to be his paternal figure actually looks younger than him. And Nero who's his same age also looks much younger than him. So ridicolous.

Honestly, Cid looked too young in 1.0, despite the white hair. Now he has a beard, which makes him look older, but somehow it's swung to the other side and he looks much older than he did before. And I don't think they've actually changed the face appreciably, so maybe it's the white hair+beard combination?

It's amazing what a change in hair (face or otherwise) can do to a character.

Most of the important Lala are actually pretty old.
Wawalago Momolago (Fisher guild head) is 65.
Fufucha Fucha (Botanists guild head) is 44.
Papashan Nonoshan (Sultansworn) is 64.
Dewlala Dewla (head of Nald'thal order) is 52.
Teledji Adeledji is 55.
Papalymo is 42.
Momodi Modi (adventurers guild) is 44.
Yuyuhase Luluhase is 45.
Lolorito Nanarito is 64.
Gegejuru... I actually can't find his age but he's def up there.


There are only a handful of Lala in Lala game under 30.

There are other named Lala in FF14, but these were all of the important ones I could remember. Ages pulled from the Encyclopaedia Eorzea.

I was not referring to a text age but an actual appearance. The only feature that makes wawalago any different from any other lala is that little strip of grey he has as a goatee.

The funny thing is that many of the ages are...let's say, protected by lore, even if the time bubble wasn't there:

Alphy and Alie are Elezen, they age much slower cuz they live like hundreds of years or something.
Miqo apparently "stop aging" once they reach their 20's, which is why even F'lhaminn looks so young (except males when they're Nuhn I guess? too much snu snu for a lifetime lol).
Thancred is an archon, and because of his tattoo thingy he had prolonged youth, and personally, because he ditched the scruffy SB look he actually looks younger now.

I agree with Cid though, that silver fox ain't ~32 even without the white hair, which only leads to one conclusion - the magic of facial hair...which isn't gonna happen because masculine men are not as popular as waifus or pretty boys. We can't even get highlander eyebrows /cry
