There's something about Elezen aging super slowly, because of their longer lifespan,

Elves in fiction often have supernaturally long lifespans.
In FF14 Elezen only live 1/10th to 1/5th longer than other races.

The aging slower thing shouldn't make that much of a difference, especially at their age.
