FFXI is capable of releasing new content in which you fight the same enemies you fought back in 2003... but on a palette swapped texture copy of Crawler's Nest. Don't act like it takes nearly the same amount of effort.

The difference of mobs in Ambuscade is about the difference in Eden's Verse and Eden's Gate.
Its just mobs with rehashed mechanics, but with a new paint job.
Dont try to act like XIV creates completely fresh, new and exciting content with each patch. The dungeons are all exactly the same layouts, just a line of trash, to a boss, repeat x3 with rehashed mechanics. Dont try to act like it takes significantly more effort for XIV to copy paste content.
Also the topic at hand here is what XIV has in store. I simply pointed out what XI is doing big for 2021 and we havent heard what XIV is doing yet, so what do you think they are doing that is going to be part of this "big announcement" ? Do you think its "just the expansion" or something more. I expect something more.

I'm surprised this got 25 likes. Do you guys have eyes or did you ignore the countless repurposed mob models used in XIV from ARR all the way to Shadowbringers? The chameleon that's totally not the giant frog model used in every single expansion yet again, the vulture model, the serpent, etc, all the monsters that are just texture swaps or toss in an accessory or two, who even have the exact same animations and even recycled actions?
