As I said before: A great deal of those posts are from people voicing positivity regarding the merges, or from people who don't care. It isn't a big deal to either of them.

Also, if this wasn't a huge deal for SE right now, why the hell would Yoshi-P type a giant letter explaining the reasons behind his decisions not even 24 hours after the initial announcement. He's never responded to anything that quickly and with that much detail.
