Qarn (Normal) is one of my favorites due the (albeit simple) puzzle-locked treasures. It's not that great when no sprouts are in the party though. I also like Haukke Manor for a similar reason.

Fun fact OP, in 1.0 there was an achievement for never eating one of the DoT removing fruits. The first (and only) time I did Aurum Vale, there was this EPIC tank... I guess I ought to run it again and see about being the most epic DPS I can be.
I did unlock Qarn on hard mode, because I remember looking at the brothers’ eyes and thinking they looked like future dual-boss characters. I need to actually get in there. Thank you!
It makes for a fun run. The achievement is no long in the game, but I'd recommend giving it a shot![]()

Wanderer's Palace Hard Mode always made me feel good. You go in and take out a buncha Mamool Ja mercenaries that have taken the place by force to use as a base.

^ And that post boss cutscene yo

I just saw these last few posts, but I did beat Wanderer’s Palace on Hard and YES, that post boss cutscene was so good. Made our 7-8 wipes totally worth it.
“Oh well, we tried. I guess I better get out of Eorzea before they start having EF5s every day.“

Jeez, 7~8 wipes o.o; musta been a new healer in there!

I know most players absolutely despise it now, but from a pure thematic and story view, personally I feel the Praetorium is actually very well done. It's clear SE were trying to capture the traditional grand "final dungeon" vibe from previous FF games (especially FFVI) and thematically they succeeded. However, MMOs require an entirelly different paradigm and hence the many lengthy cutscenes and lots of lore-heavy dialogue just grated on players who wanted it to be over already, not helped by players early on using it as an easy source of tomestones (that was later removed), and made worse with roulettes in an attempt to help new players actually fill parties in Duty Finder. And containing the 'final battle' within it, made matters worse (a lesson SE learned and from then on 'final dungeons' for successive patches/expansions always were seperated from the 'final battle' which became a seperate trial unlocked seperately after completing the dungeon).
But thematically, I'll still love Praetorium, for it's visuals, lore. funny little details (like your party members actually making little gestures to each other in the background during cutscenes!), and the music. Goddess, the music. Penitus, Bite of the Black Wolf, The Maker's Ruin, Thunderer, Ultima.... each track just enhances the experience. Throughout ARR Soken showed his remarkable talent and the tracks in Praetorium underlined that.![]()
