    My FC does maps every week. Its a great community builder tool and we make bank cuz were doing each others maps. Just gotta get into a good FC. If your FC isnt arranging weekly events for the guild, its a bad FC. Plain and simple. Thursdays are our run nights and they always fill. Sometimes we need to host 2 parties to do them

    Part of the fun in treasure hunting is that maps are done in world zone so I wouldn't like it to become an instance thing. That said, a better party search function would be great. Right now PF only allows to open recruiting for your own world only when you set "Treasure Hunt" tag (same goes for several others), and while it definitely has sense gameplay wise, it doesn't help with gathering people, especially now that we have world visits. As result, people now often look for parties in Discord servers dedicated for thing like hunts, maps and fates farming. I think there should be some better tool for forming parties for activities like this, but I don't see how queuing would help in this case. As a matter of fact, I feel like fellowships and cross-world linkshells is pretty much the tools that were created for these purposes, but for whatever reason they aren't popular for this on EU and NA (fellowships aren't at least, as far as I can see... on Chaos I found literally 1 felloship with treasure hunt tag). Perhaps they should somehow update those.

    I just want old map dungeons to be unsyncable.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    I think maps would be better if they made things like tomes or other similar rewards from maps more consistent.

    Or give players something to spend Gil on and increase the rates for clearing.

    People tend not to do it because you’ll spend far too long getting 2,000$ Gil and 5 tomes

    2 hours of maps, i made a little more than 150 tomes, so you're not being really accurate there

    Tbh you don't really need a full party to do maps; I usually do maps with me as a dps, one friend a tank and one either a healer or even another dps if I'm RDM. 4 with a Light Party Dungeon composition is enough for anyone. We've gotten to and beaten the bottom boss several times this way.

    I prefer we can't unsync old map.
    People still doing old map, raw gil earn from lv 70 80 dungeon isn't different and it make old rare items keep their value.

    My biggest problem with treasure map groups is that they're usually sloooooow and disorganized, so I've started hosting speed runs. I stuff my mailbox with maps and lead a group around, clearing 10-15 maps an hour depending on portal rate and luck inside the portals.

    I do maps all the time, yes you can earn a lot from maps. But you can also walk away with next to nothing.

    If you read my comment, you would have realized I said if it was more consistent, then it would be likely more people would do it.

    I'll give you a pass, considering there were some serious typos. Alas, maps are too horribly inconsistent.

    If they gave us things to spend gil on, and ways to earn gil, I feel the game overall would be more engaging and fun, including and especially maps.

    They can keep the rates for the rare items low, or even lower actually since prices plummet rather quickly, but for the gil and tomes, they could really increase the success rates, and I think it would be that much more enjoyable.
