Wouldn't it be 4 for DoM since arcanist and it's branches were added in ARR? Your point still stands but I would count those still.

I'd look at them as a benefit if we weren't restricted when it came to glamours with our armors >:/. Like i don't minnnnnd that much having the extra armor but god would it be nice to have another job that uses the same ILV gear for the two. If we could use them for glamour on other jobs i wouldn't mind getting them since they would have another use at least :/. I also might just want another slower paced (Like DRG) melee job so that also is a factor for me.
I get that, what I mean is that given BLU is the same i'd expect it to be listed as a Melee DPS role, arguably if they used maiming gear they'd also get a selection of tank-like armour to use.
But yeah, having limited jobs listed within the current roles doesn't make much sense anyway, seems more logical to have a separate "Limited" role under DoW and DoM instead.


Heh, not including arcanist was a subtle example. But yeah whether you include arcanist likely comes down to views on 2.0 really? I don't consider it an addition because it was included at the relaunch, so the classes available at the new beginning point for the game are all the initial classes. Indicated by arcanist being an option at character creation. That then leaves NIN as the first job added since the relaunch.

I guess also I think some of the arguments for melee seem more like issues with the current stuff? Like if PhyR and Casters aren't distinct enough roles should that be looked at, same if Melee doesn't have enough presence in raids.
