In the NA Lodestone letter, the server is very clearly tagged as FR/GR. It's not like someone mistakenly typed France instead of EU.
They are clearly catering to a linguistic minority (albeit, one significant enough to call out), not trying to create time-zone based servers.Plus its been said many times that on the German and French lodestone post it says EU time zone.Originally Posted by Yoshi-p

It's recommanded for FR/DE not "FR/DE only".
whatever where you from all ppl are welcome in this server...
It's a EU time zone, all Europeans like Italian UKSpanish Swiss Scandinave ... ppl can join this server and you will find an english communauty.
Even for Quebec, if they all come, you will have a bench of player speaking your own language and on your playtime.
It's the same things for hispanic ppl in America...
I'm from northern ireland and i'm going on strike i'm not moving from my server... If Yoshida want's me moved he can come to ireland himself and move me![]()

I can quote Yoshi-P's post too...no one ever called SE consistent...
Where's my Swedish speaking world....?Originally Posted by Yoshi-P

Except for SE didn't even consider a Spanish localization, despite the fact that it has the world's second largest population of native speakers...less than Chinese but more than English. Seems like some untapped market potential.
Is it that hard to decide on 2 servers to be European?
Since world 10 is already suggested, where is the problem?
Do French and German people need to speak their native language that badly in order to play the game?
English isnt good enough? Evryone in Europe should be able to speak English...

Yeah...
Do you guys get all your games translated in your language, or ffxiv is the only game you play?
Don't you learn foreign languages in school? Isnt English one of them? (I dont know, just asking)
You responded in english right?

Expecting someone to speak English is considered small minded.
And even though we learn each others language in school its not to the level that we can speak or write it fluently.
