I don't think it's the new guy. It's Lahabrea's mask in the artwork, course it is just the artwork. My money's on Gaia being a fragment of Igeyorhm and getting flashes of Lahabrea in her memory. Also inB4 we just hyped this pic up, and Ryne and Gaia are just shards of Venat / Igeyorhm and we find out that Venat and Igeyorhm were sisters in Amaurot times or somethin'

Well it would make sense that Gaia's 'faerie' would be an Ascian, given Ryne's connection to Minfillia/Word of Hydaelyn.
It might not be Lahabrea though, or even if it is, it's likely out of time given that it's emulating FF8's plot. It could be Lahabrea from the past, or another Ascian from the future.

Yeah I'd say it's plausible and for the Amaurot time sisters thing too.

Since this game is also published in China I can already tell that in case their romance is a thing we are not going to get any reference that can't be easily edited out.

I have no reason to believe this is a romance, holding hands to me isnt a sign of them being gay.

It wouldn't be the first time people look too much into things.

Holding hand it's just a symbol of affection and it has been shown for many kinds of situations, including very close friends.

There is no need for you to be rude. All of us know that there will never be an "official" confirmation and that everything is left to player personal interpretation. If some of us choose to believe that's a kind of confirmation, what exactly is your problem? Have we somehow offended your precious feelings by simply existing?
