Dear Forum Troll, You Win

I'm done here.
I've been waiting patiently for someone to step in and deal with the forum trolling that's been going on recently but it looks like nothing has changed.
Luckily, there are other places to discuss the game and share info, but it comes to something when Reddit (of all places) is looking like a better option than the official forum.

Why bother posting about it?
It's not ego, I know this is a total non-event but I'm assuming others are feeling the same. So, I thought that if anyone else was leaving the forum and they left a post here before they went, that it might, just might get some attention and hopefully improve the situation for the people who are left.

but it comes to something when Reddit (of all places) is looking like a better option than the official forum.

Reddit has always been a better option than the OFs, the devs name drop reddit all the time so some amount of the team looks at it.

The two big reddit communities (r/ffxiv and r/shitpostxiv) seem to have a burning hatred for all those who play lalafell as well as the race itself, making ceaseless jokes about them as well as constantly calling those who play them pedophiles, creeps, molesters, and other similar insults...

I think such behavior may be due to people on that site seeming to have a harder time separating reality and fiction (Or just a case of widespread projection), but I'm not 100% certain on that.

You can technically joke about all the races so it’s not that bad. As for the rest, screw ‘em. It’s a game. If a person gets unironically upset over a fantasy race of whimsical Pillsbury Doughpeople then they’re a fucking idiot.
