Female Hrothgar and Male Viera

There is other content which they could cut, if they wanted, to deliver said dungeons. Yet they haven't.

Personally I would agree that the focus should be elsewhere, but I'd say it should be on enhancing character customisation options and implementing the high res textures. At the same time, I don't blame people for yearning for the missing option for each race. It's a bit lame to do it in halves.

The lore doesn't preclude them and allows for playing such rarities as male mooncats and WHM. So...

The lore excuse went out the window when 2.0 made male Miqo'te playable. And again when Au Ra could walk into Ishgard and not get murdered.

You mean the whole male Viera stay separate and are unseen etc.?

Well when you consider that, per the lore, their entire country is being attacked by the Garleans and their people are fighting to set it free. Seems like as good a reason as any to make it *plausible" that some male Viera would their old traditions and get out of the forest to take a much more active role in making sure their people and homes are free because the Garleans won't stop at their forest and leave them in peace.

As far as fem Hrothgar, they're using femroes as a placeholder and as someone that does like the lore, that's pretty immersion breaking to me especially if you've seen the last cutscene in the Bozja front.

Eh, I'd rather have access to the playable races in full. That's far more glaring than not being able to use most headgear - especially when the lack of hats is very much in line with the flaws other race/gender combinations already deal with such as highlander men not having access to eyebrows.

I agree that male highlanders should have eyebrows, but I don't think the Hrothgar/Viera situation is in line with that at all.

It's not like they're constantly adding new eyebrows and leaving highlanders out, and they never said they were working on male highlander eyebrows (or male Viera and female Hrothgar for that matter) like they did for the headgear and hair and we still haven't seen or heard anything of that after all this time.

By all means add them at some point, but focus on working on finishing what you said you'd do first.

Lore as it is, not as it could be. The game continues, so lore can and should be extended to fit the naritive. To not do so is the excuse of the lazy or inept.

Lorewise, male Miqote are incredibly rare. If we were to go just from cutscenes and whatnot, a male Miqote WoL is STILL rare, thus not breaking the lore. A female Hrothgar WoL would still be rare, thus not breaking the lore. A male Viera WoL would still be rare, thus not breaking the lore. Adding them as playable does not break lore.

That is because it is looking like Roegadyns and Miqo'te were lower class citizens in Bozja and

the Roe Gunhildr (and Misija's ancestor) was used as a living weapon sacrifice by the ruling council. We will likely be seeing a 3rd "happy" aspect (possibly a Mi'qote) of Gunhildr coming 5.45 to allow for a 3 faced Asura with a "serene" Hrothgar face and "angry" Roegadyn face.

Also always strange seeing people whine about "hats and hair first" when this topic comes up. What goes into adding a new female/ male model and what's keeping the Hrothgar and Viera in game from getting hats and hair are 2 completely different beast to solve. I'd take the current limits of the Viera any day of the week if it got me Female Hrothgar personally so I don't see the point in people bringing it up every time others talk about wanting the other genders.
