It's okay to want more if you're into that kind of difficulty, but I'm not - thus that's why I feel satisfied by the amount we have so far.
So it's funny, because what we consider hardcore is only savage and ultimate as the real content. I tried to find an analogy for how we view extremes. And the closest thing I can compare it for you is.. An extreme for us is like a fate to you and ultimate is an extreme. The spread of difficulty between those two are way too far apart that I wouldn't consider it even close to hardcore.

Here's a little more refrence. It took me and a group of friends 1 hr to clear an Extreme blind. It took about 72 hrs to clear ultimate with guides. This doesnt make ultimate 72x harder, but you can get what I mean.

If we take out extremes, we have only 14 fights in 2 years. And usually the 4 fights in a tier are cleared in at most 2/3 weeks. So in total, we got 21 weeks in 2 years for proggression. Thats not even 1/4 of the expansion time. Our solution would be adding 1 more ultimate in the expansion and we would be content. But as it is now, the game during the content droughts. The wait between 2 tiers is always the worst feeling in the game with nothing in between.

If people want specific examples I won't be sitting here outlining the bare minimum for every job but I'd expect the mistakes that are easily avoided by reading your tooltips and rubbing two neurons together to not happen. AoE on single target, healers not dpsing, tanks not mitigating, people not pressing their buttons.

Like you don't need to be pulling orange parses out of your butt, just don't be half afk or better replaced with a trust party member.

Edit: Doing these things will lead to you putting up what I'd consider respectable casual content numbers, as opposed to doing SB damage in ShB which is... startlingly common.
Have you ever considered that keeping the GCD rolling is painful or inconvenient for some people? Mashing buttons over an hour can be extremely painful for your wrists.

I have problems with my left hand after an injury. This game has a very convenient GCD time. Except for the QTE in the last trial, I did not have much problems. Of course, a lot is individual and your case can be very different. But if play is more painful than fun, is it worth torturing yourself?

Yeah, but subjective descriptions can be vague. There are people for whom Savage is too easy and a fight can be cleared in a few hours or less blind.

Objectively, any difficulty tier for which the fights are introduced through the raid finder first and for which the NA community (and maybe EU too) cannot be depended upon to queue directly through DF can usually be considered "hardcore content" (for the NA community at least) in terms of difficulty, unless you want to use "midcore" to further delineate the difficulty.

Either way, it's not casual content if you can't just queue solo to clear it.

That's what I mean, for many players, rolling the GCD is painful but dropping a GCD here and there and sacrificing 10% DPS at most is still enjoyable. People should not be expecting GCD rolling.

Depends on the class. Just choose the one that suits you.

If you can't manage to keep your GCD rolling on a mostly consistent basis you should find a game where that isn't a baseline practice.

Anyone want to bet that OP hasn't stepped into a single Ultimate fight?

Always wondered what's running (or not) certain "high-end" content have to do with anything.
