Thinking about this and reading some of the people who do this, I don’t think I actually want these kinda people in my copied factory runs, I doubt they’re very good xD

It's kinda laughable, I doubt they can handle endgame content if they're so afraid of the chance of failure.
I'd personally advise being skilled players yourselves before insinuating skill levels based on others' actions.
The issue is not difficulty. It is efficiency. At the current moment, the rewards for running ARR trails leads to a much higher EXP/hr rate compared to any other alliance raids. So long as this is true, players will continue to use the system to their advantage. It's something Square shall need to fix via better exp incentives.
Considering the amount of Poetics you get from doing PvP content and roulettes when your level is over 50 and all the new Poetics vendors added everywhere, lack of money to buy gear pre-80 should not be a problem. There is unfortunately no good way to fix this issue. I started playing this game last year and got bored with the ARR storyline so I ended up playing a ton of PvP. I got my initial class/job to level 70+ by playing PvP so much by the time I was entering HW. However, I obviously didn't have good gear because I was still stuck in the earlier part of the MSQ and hadn't unlocked content where better gear would drop (and didn't have the money to buy better equipment). When I did Alliance Raid Roulettes, it probably looked like I had "geared down" before queuing and just forgot to change into better gear before clicking "Commence." In any event, the solutions suggested thus far in this thread would probably have prevented people like myself from joining up for Alliance Raid Roulette.
It is not the chance of failure they fear. LotA is actually one of the Raids most likely to have one or more wipes. It is the fear of Alliance Roulette taking 30 to 45 minutes when they only want to spend 15 to 20 minutes doing it that causes them to cheese the roulette.
Or making adjustments so that all 11 Alliance Raids take roughly the same amount of time with a similar amount of difficulty. The normal mode raid roulette isn't having the same problem because the 32 fights are all similarly long with similar difficulty.

I don't think I really understood what Poetics were at the time and I don't think I could've really spent them anyway until I finished at least the ARR MSQ. Even now I'm not sure how someone who has completed the MSQ just through ARR would use Poetics to make a ton of money as you're suggesting. The stuff you buy with Poetics doesn't sell for that much. Also, you're assuming that new players will know to use poetics to buy and sell stuff on the Market Board. There's a lot of assumptions going on here.
I think what they're saying is that the poetics you get are more than enough to buy your next set of level cap gear. So between 50 and 60 you'll accrue enough to buy your 60 gear rather easily and so on, nothing about buying items to sell on the MB.I don't think I really understood what Poetics were at the time and I don't think I could've really spent them anyway until I finished at least the ARR MSQ. I wonder about the "knowing" part though.
Does the game tell new folks that they can buy excellent gear with these stones? Or does SE hope they stumble upon the NPC by accident?
I'm assuming they were referring to the gear you get with poetics, not gil. As such gear is usually the highest ilevel of its debut expansion and good for the first couple dungeon of the following one.I don't think I really understood what Poetics were at the time and I don't think I could've really spent them anyway until I finished at least the ARR MSQ. Lol sure... they're all bad for preferring not to do duties that are much longer for measly experience rewards.
It's kind of funny you actually think this is why people do it.
I also challenge you to check your party list everything you queue in and report back how many times there isn't a 50 level player in it.

From the past week getting stuck in CT? 5 times there wasn't a level 50 in it. The other two there was. And I'll be honest, I'm okay with running CT if there's somebody new, they need it. But when there isn't...I don't want to deal with that crap, it's beyond boring.
