I can't think of a good reason on why they can't make the set separate shirt / pants (that probably is both pant and shoe slot, given the design) / glove. Most of the Scion items can be used separately..

It's from ARR times, back when Minfilia was a thing. Just like her outfit it was never designed to be anything other than 1 model for the body.
To change that they would have to redesign the outfit to have a proper shoe and leg and so on model and that's not gonna happen.

As for OP, make sure you read the items before you buy.

...I am writing this to see if anyone has any simmilar problems with this, did they see and figure out it is a onesie from the post immediately once they saw it, and do they think that this item is worth that money being what it is.

I wont deny that there is also a part of me hoping they will improve this item and at minimum to make it dyeable. But honestly, for that money it should be just as good as any other piece on the market.

I read the description saw it was only one item, and decided I wasn't going to purchase it. I've only got one set like that, Minfilia's outfit. I got it for the hair, and use the hair with my Au Ra. I would say always look at the fine print, but honestly, it's not hidden like fine print, it's fairly clear what it was.

I waited for a big sale to get sets like Minfilia’s original, Ayermic’s (for my alt) and Y’shtola’s and I like them a lot. The hairstyles are very unique and rarely seen. I have only ever saw one other person with Minfilia’s set in the game. I use it for one of my ninja glamours. My alt is a PLD and Ayermic’s set is perfect. I have it paired with boots dyed dragoon blue and it looks great. It is my favorite glam for him. Hairstyle is awesome too.

If Alphinaud/Alisaie’s outfit came with the hairstyle and/or could be used as different pieces then I would consider the price. Even then, it is more than ANY previous NPC fashion set.

ATTENTION DEVS!!! Now bring me Yotsuyu’s fashion and we can talk...set your price SE! Especially if you do the hairstyle or use the Moonlight version. Same goes for Lulu’s set. I need an awesome kimono and new long hairstyle.

The one-piece outfits still have glamour potential if it suits your character and/or you can find headgear that works with it.

I bought Cid's outfit for one of my alts "just for the goggles" but ended up really liking the outfit itself. It would be better if it could be broken up, of course - I mainly like the shirt and wish I could mix it with other things - but it still works well on its own. Combines nicely with the Ironworks weapons and headgear, and probably the Lost/Late Allagan sets too.

Meanwhile I think the Prodigy's suit looks really good on Lalafell despite them being such a different shape to what it was designed for. There's a cute glamour I saw on EC of someone mixing it with the Late Allagan healer beret.

Not saying that isn't more work... it is, but it would make the outfit more attractive for more people, thus more selling product. And in the case of this specific outfit, the pants and shoes are the same piece. At glance, they could just separate it into the chestpiece + pants/footwear, as these elements don't necessarily merge visually.

I, for one, am not buying because the price def. doesn't justify the limitation...

You've posted in General Discussion, and the method you've chosen to communicate your complaint is to necro a thread about an unrelated store purchase from over a year ago? You will, most certainly, not receive any tangible help here. To the contrary, you're just going to now get discussion about necros, SE customer service complaints, etc. Which is fine, I guess, if your goal is just to let off steam. If you want results, though, this was a strange way to go about it.

What you'll want to do, for actual results, is open another ticket, reference the first ticket, and ask for an update. If you don't do that, then at the very, very least, start your own thread in one of the support forums, and maybe a forum support agent will direct you from there.

Also note:

- You don't need to include videos or screenshots of purchases. SE has a dozen different ways of verifying things on their end; your video or picture isn't going to give them some insight beyond what they already have. Nor will they ever just award a refund based on some user-submitted pic or video.

- If you feel that you've wasted effort... why waste more effort? Necroing a mostly unrelated year-old thread in general and complaining in it is wasted effort.

- If you don't want to "feel terrible" then put some effort into feeling better. Open another ticket. Post in support.

- If it comes down to it, you have consumer methods available to you to get your money back. Talk to your bank.
