Unfortunately I am the part of the problem in this particular case. But I guess it is why I am trying to get my voice heard now, just so people do not take this as normal.

I know I will not make the mistake again, but maybe others will. The more people are aware, the less probability of mistakes and companies getting away with it.

So far I was never burned by Square Enix, so I trusted them, but I guess I was a fool to do so.

Did you try it on? Is that why you didn't get a refund you think? If so, I suppose that's good to know for people that bought something that didn't meet their expectations to not try it on. I didn't know that either.

Like you said though, it's a lesson learned.

Also; If I have gone to any store and bought a piece of clothing and then day after I return it or even up to couple of weeks after. I would get my money back if the item is unused no matter the reason for me returning it or buying it in the first place.

And again, I do not care for the money at all. What I care is that it is unjust.

Well usually everything you buy in a store is final, no refunds possible. It happens that most clothing stores have a refund policy but its at their discretion to do so. There is no law that compels them to do so. Unless you can prove that the object in question is not fit for the purpose they sold it for then you are out of luck.

You are even obliged to click agree to a no refunnd digital item.

I can't think of a good reason on why they can't make the set separate shirt / pants (that probably is both pant and shoe slot, given the design) / glove. Most of the Scion items can be used separately, and I've personally bought some just for a specific item.

They would instantly make it more attractive and certainly would have more people purchasing it.

I mean, is more work? It is... but they are already remodelling the outfit to fit every race, might as well go a bit further than that.

I am not going to use the item, as I said before. I highly dislike non unique items. The premise I bought it as is that I would use the pieces separately. For example, I bought Y'shtola's black mage outfit and never used the chest, because it is too similar to her own look. But I used boots and gloves a lot in many of my combinations. And I was OK with paying the price there (which btw was cheeper because it is non dyeable.). I bought a lot of the items from the store and I use many of them just one or two pieces because I love to mix and match.
But with this item, as I cannot even use the pieces separately, or dye them, I will not use it.

It just does not go into my head how this outfit costs same amount(or more) as so many of them that come in individual pieces with plenty of them being dyeable.

And I did try the item on as when I saw that it is only one item, I thought foolishly that I should right click to unpack it or something. And then to my complete shock it was one item for 4 slots of clothing. But from the correspondence with them, I saw that it would be lost only if it was actually something unpack-able that I opened. And it not.

All I can say is that this is something I really feel terribly about. I do not care about the money. But I feel that they scammed people by putting that price on it.

All dyeable, single pieces outfits on the store are 13.5 euros, while non dyeable are 9 euros. Check it out yourselves.

This is the first item ever I saw that is one piece like this AND it has a price tag of dyeable outfit that is in pieces. It is exacly the reason why I didnt even check, I expected it to be just as any other at this price. I really don't get why people don't care.

Even Meoni who did a review of it (which I only watched yesterday) did not mention how outrageously pricey it is for what it gives you.

That said, everything on the Mog station is buyer's beware, back when it first released I bought my friend Red Baron thinking it was account wide and gave it to his alt character he was using at the time, obviously it is not and had I paid attention to the description I would've sent it to his main. It was a lesson learned to always read what an item is about before buying anything on Mog station and only a bit of money wasted, it happens just have to learn from it really.

It was probably modeled as a one piece on the NPC so when they made it to fit other races, they simply free-transformed it a bit. Vertices and Weight wouldn't be too affected.
But to have to cut out, split, and such.. you'd have to re-weight the vertices and other possible issues.

I made a forum post about the insanity of this item several days ago. The price is ridiculous for what it is especially in comparison to other NPC sets.

It wouldn't be just a matter of splitting it up because the underlying parts of the model don't actually exist. There is no design for what the sleeves look like if you take off the gloves, or what the pants look like without the boots (if they even come apart in the first place).

The gloves also look like they're a length that doesn't match any of the standard glove lengths for determining how pieces interact.

At most, they maybe could have divided it into body+hands and legs+feet, but it would need new design work to actually break it into pieces.

So it hit me immediately I did not properly read it, but just bought it because I honestly just woke up and booted the comp, saw the optional and immediately assumed it is like all the other ones on the mogstation. With the price being 13.5 Euros I figured it is just as good as the other ones who are dyeable and each piece is it's own slot. If it was like 5-9 Euros I would have thought something is wrong and looked at the description.

It's a NPC cosplay set and prices on those have always varied (guessing dependent on how much work it takes to get them to work on player character models). Those have never been dyeable because they exist so you can cosplay as the NPC. The only difference here is that the pieces aren't separate like they have been with other cosplay sets.

If you want glamour sets that can be dyed, avoid the NPC cosplay sets. Stick to the other sets, which are usually the ones made for the KR/CN cash shops before they show up here 6-8 months later.

Mogstation purchases are always final. They don't do refunds unless the item didn't get delivered to the selected character or isn't working as intended. It's very much a situation where you need to pay attention to what you're actually buying.
