Of course there could be multiple reasons why a 'thing' happened and the answer 'because they are bad' is not always the correct one.
I don't know how many times I have to tell you that a player who goes to a raid as a healer and does not heal at all, while the second healer is forced to do all the work for both, this is not a "player who will improve" or "a player who made a mistake", this is a player who came to parasitize on the group, and yes, this is a bad player.

I am very interested in why you do not rush to the defense in another thread, where someone said that almost the entire FF 14 player base is bad? Why aren't you defending the "bad pugs"? Probably because this is not your personal interest and passion.

Probably because I've not read that thread, I don't ready every single thread.

But 80% of WHM's you get don't heal and just leech? I've acknowledged, yes a portion of players are like that. So I figure you're either overstating the issue, you're misreading your co-healers in many cases or somehow your experience is big anomaly.

Apologies if I am a bit of a stickler on it, but I guess, one of my frustrations is that I see people overstate or poorly represent issues and SE act on them and we can see how SE has already gutted healers on this whole "healers shouldn't DPS" row and people complaining about healers DPSing and now we have a really dumbed down DPS rotation that's and healing itself is too easy most of the time that we are DPSing most of the time. They've got rid of different flavours to playing after people complained about healers screwing up, like Cleric Stance, which they just got rid of because people mismanaged it and people complained about healer DPS, whereas, they could have improved on it.

But it's just not just specific to this but people seem to have a habit of overstating the extent the things that annoy them are a problem and the impression it gives is that it is a bigger & more widespread problem than it actually is.

I don’t know how things are in your data center, probably much better. But I do meet "stone spammers" more often. Subjectively? Yes, absolutely. Anomaly? May be. Or some bloody bad luck. However, this is not a reason to call me a troll, a white knight, a gray SCH, and the devil knows what epithets.

I understand what heal and dps optimization is and have followed Balance's guides many times. I constantly observe other healers, with some I say why they do this and not otherwise, because I am interested in how it works, and I am grateful to people who really give advice. How good advice differs from a personal attack, I think we all perfectly understand.

Ideally, the game presents an opportunity to heal and dps for both healers, and I really don't know how these players can leave everything to the other healer when the party's HP drops to critical levels. After all, this is a team game.

You say that the SE adjusts the game to the bad players, I think it is not. Most likely, they are trying to fix it with the minimum and most simple means, filling up holes. The simplest example of housing that causes so many frustrations. Plus they try to make the game friendly for beginners. But healers obviously overhealing in this game, and this creates a lot of problems.

When in SWTOR the developers cut healing potency by almost half, there was a lot of criticism. Like, the game is getting too complicated. As a result, some bosses in dungeons and raids became insurmountable for someone without a high level of player skill. Some had to leave the classes they played, others to improve their skills. I do not know what tactics the SE will choose, but to say that there is no problem is not the best.

Unless, of course, this isn't actually an issue.

    Which it isn't.

So then calling it a non-issue would be correct.

There are so many red flags in the way both of you have spoken about healing in general that it doesn't take a big stretch to reach the conclusion you aren't exactly doing amazing. You might be good at your specific job, with no logs it's impossible to tell for sure, but your attitude towards healing and healers would very much explain you finding yourself with an adversarial relationship with many competent players in the role.

    Just like you have here.
