Thanks for ruining the only experience that keeps me playing.

Players who do not select a destination World during this period will be automatically distributed across the Worlds.
Thank you for ruining the community (the reason I play mmo's) and thus ending my enjoyment of FFXIV.

I have many many friends in Trabia, some I only from crafting arrangements, others from XP, Caravan parties and others from Ifrit and Mog, only about 40% of my friends are in my Linkshell. I'm being forced to part ways with my reason for playing this game.

While I can flock with my LS, there is no way that everyone I know will vote in cohesion to join the same server. I have played since beta, have supported this game, and am loosing out.

Friends who are currently non subscribed will now be lost. I have played since beta, have supported this game, and am loosing out.

I like that I don't have to bicker with people about claiming Dodore or TGB, I don't like the prospect of having these things unobtainable like when they we're first released. I have played since beta, have supported this game, and am loosing out.

What I'm trying to say is:

I have played since beta, have supported this game, and am loosing out. Yoshida you have failed me.

    EDIT:

People don't seem to understand my stance.

I am not against people being given the option to move server. I am virulently against communities being shattered. It's not an either/or. We could have both but SE have decided the most disruptive option.

Double edit: I'm fully in support of 7rabia. It's a good solution to this problem, lets hope as many as possible can get onto it.

Most linkshells would agree with you in that they play the game for the same reason. Not to mention, the game does have a community. New shells and such will arise as a result of this.

Not to say I agree with how they're handling it, but talking about how he failed you from one decision when he was some legendary savior to everyone just days before is a bit silly.

Idk if you have seen my other posts, but, I know people are upset and what not, I am as well a little bit. But there's going to be 100s of new friends and people to meet now. It's going to be a new adventure! Just gotta look at things in a good way ^.^

Knowing yoshi he will probably make another server merge at 2.0 with the implementation of new servers and what not. So meeting up with your old friends may not be far fetched ^.^

He is doing a grand job is fixing the atrocious mess this game launched in, the game isn't fixed yet. The only redeeming feature at the moment is community and friends I have had for over a year. That's a long time for friendships to form, I am quite attached to Trabia.

I don't understand why servers aren't being merged like in FF11, Where 2-3 servers are just squished together, with the option of moving to a server of your choice if you wish.

This feels like a reset to me, it's as bad as loosing my character. I don't want a new adventure, i'm enjoying the one I've been experiencing and putting effort into for the last year.

Try and think of it as moving away to a different town/state/Provence whatever. You build up those friendships but that goes away when you move most of the time. I feel everyone on this, I've had to move many times as a kid, but each time I met new people, experienced new things, learned new things as well. Take it as is, everyone is on the same sinking ship, just some are going to be on different life boats, in the end you will probably meet up soon enough.

I guess the idea behind it is to promote server balance. I see two real problems with it though:

    1) People will just flock to the first available server selection regardless.
    2) There are still too many servers for what he hopes to achieve, in my opinion.

If I have to make new friendships, and have a new experience, I'll just go play tera or another new mmo. Loosing all my friends removes the point of this game. Until 2.0, I don't see a point in playing anymore.

Exactly, they are counting on lots of people not selecting servers and then using that populous to plug the gaps in low populated servers. It's stupid and destructive to final fantasy mmo's special communities.
