I maxed out Mythic+ rewards with less than half the questions as to my choice of class that I've had to deal with doing post-weekly-lock Savage farm PuGs or even Ex Primals here, regardless of which class I brought -- hardly an "elitest nightmare".

Odd.
I almost never have anyone mention my chosen job in farms, and I'm a SAM.
I would actually consider BLM to be the bigger meme. I haven't checked since the SMN nerfs but until recently it dealt less dps than a good smn, has no party buffs, no raise and less mobility.
"Selfish" hasn't been a thing since logs swapped from pDPS-based to rDPS-based. It just means that their performance no longer depends on yours, and vice versa. At this point, the jobs you have to coordinate with and around are the ones that catch more flak.
The gap between SAM and 3rd place is generally the largest gap between any two jobs in the game, save perhaps Physical Ranged and the job immediately above any of them. Given that we typically call Physical Ranged "underpowered", even now, wouldn't that same gap constitute an "overpowered" job when presented in the opposite direction?
That is simply nonfactual except at particular percentiles of certain fights.
I'll take more elitism if it means we get a form of difficult content that actually has replay value outside of just getting better gear that can't be used for anything other then ultimate raids (Which comparatively have even less replay value then Savage unless you want a full collection of weapons for whatever reason).

It's not really elitism (of course happens from time to time). Has more to do with WoW gearing, if you can't keep up or you are unlucky with drops finding a group will get harder. Why accepting that dude with "350 ILvL" when that other dude has "500 ILvL". Also, higher key groups are going to be way pickier with what classes they want for their party or if you have a certain drop or not (having the right piece of gear can boost your DPS a lot).I'll take more elitism if it means we get a form of difficult content that actually has replay value outside of just getting better gear that can't be used for anything other then ultimate raids (Which comparatively have even less replay value then Savage unless you want a full collection of weapons for whatever reason).
Then is also raid.io, generally useful sure, but can be a wall even for "entry" M+ keys. Right now requirements for a +10 are absurd when are easy to complete. I don't know, is one of those systems that people should try and understand before requesting it.
IMO what we need is more BA type of content. Something that we need to prepare and build up for the grand finalle.
