That unfortunately doesn't narrow things down. I'd still be on a wild hunt and Googling just gets me recent results, even when I specify 2013. It's still hearsay at this point and that's unreliable information (remember playing Telephone as kids?).

But this is how I feel personally, and based on the mmo market, game lifecycles, etc. After 6.0 I don't wouldn't care, for that just leave it as it is. Being really honest about that. But this is a good question to ask the rest of you; would you still wait 2 more years for male viera/female hrothgar?
I mean, FFXI is still around and still P2P, so who knows (and didn't WoW come out with a new race or two somewhat recently)? Anyway, if I can wait however long for a beast race to be playable (Hrothgar, in this case) then I'm sure people can handle waiting a little extra longer for the missing genders.
Hell, if Hrothgar weren't ever announced back in Fan Fest (or "leaked" via in-game French client bugs) and we were just going to get Viera, I'd still be playing FFXIV. I'd be massively disappointed because I still do not see the appeal of Viera (and never will. They're just humans with no-physic rabbit ears to me), but I wouldn't quit over not getting something I've been wanting since before HW came out. I'd quit over the game no longer being fun AND friends no longer playing/raiding.
