Is the amount of toxic endgame players growing in FFXIV?

FFXIV is a very chill community compared to other mmos. I know it drives those WoW kids absolutely insane but its a straight up fact. The community in WoW is garbage because Blizzard does nothing to stop the blatant disrespect between players. SE would ban most players for that behavior.

I suspect a lot of the issues with WoW is due to the two factions - that created hostility from the outset. In FFXIV there are no real factions - granted we have the GC's but they all get along and only play act conflicts.

huh... is that a fact? lately the only person I have seen trying to stir up any kind of phobia has been you. I get it, you have been treated poorly, in this case however, it seems to be self generated. I have not been the object of any phobias or hatred. You may want to examine how you deal with others and the people you surround yourself with. typically it is ones own choices in regards to these two things which determine how you are treated.

Honestly I've experienced less frequent but more harsh toxicity here in FFXIV while WoW toxicity is more common but feels like "Old man yells at cloud". It's white noise from a community that mostly communicates via sarcasm.

Myeah, I've not had people throw slurs my way at all during my play time in FFXIV since 2013 and I've had my Roegadyn dressed up in leather (something you'd expect at a certain Street Fair and the leather subculture. Heck, my character info thing in-game is just Bear code) for most of HW and StB and I frequently queue without friends. If I ever did, then it's a simple harassment report and now they're the GM's problem.

Sometimes people do it for entertainment value of posting and see what happens, sometimes people want to have a discussion with the people that responded rather than the OP themselves; and sometimes people post to get people to stop posting, believing themselves to be the only one that sees the truth that no one else can see.
