Is the amount of toxic endgame players growing in FFXIV?

I actually don't see much toxicity in this game in my time of playing really. I might eventually though as there is always bad apples in the tree.

FFXIV is a very chill community compared to other mmos. I know it drives those WoW kids absolutely insane but its a straight up fact. The community in WoW is garbage because Blizzard does nothing to stop the blatant disrespect between players. SE would ban most players for that behavior.

I suspect a lot of the issues with WoW is due to the two factions - that created hostility from the outset. In FFXIV there are no real factions - granted we have the GC's but they all get along and only play act conflicts.

Honestly I've experienced less frequent but more harsh toxicity here in FFXIV while WoW toxicity is more common but feels like "Old man yells at cloud". It's white noise from a community that mostly communicates via sarcasm.
