    They weren't nearly as bad until the mid to end of Stormblood. A notorious botter on Cactuar basically dominates the consumable market; putting up an endless stream of 99 potions. He's gone as far as listing over 10,000 in three days. Unfortunately, SE being so lax has emboldened a lot more players because why not? They know they'll never get banned for it.

    I would love nothing more than for SE to congratulation their winners only to find out every single one of them was a bot. Maybe that level of embarrassment might actually wake the dev team up to how bad botting has become.
