The way the system works you can house hunt for an hour at a time and not grind yourself out of existence. It's not as efficient as sitting the entire duration of a timer but it's only about 10-15% slower.

Except just implementing a simple raffle system would fix the entire issue. There's no need to revert to the old way of doing things and a raffle system would achieve basically the same result without all the fuss.

It was also one of the things rejected by the playerbase when it was suggested originally.

The previous system was probably the best possible option, but THAT got removed because people wanted randomness to prevent something that happened a couple times a year per server.

The playerbase brought this nonsense mess on themselves.

Condemning people to never getting a house no matter what they do is not a solution. It's randomly deciding who gets to use a game feature we all pay for. At least in the current system you can get a house if you are patient and willing to put in effort.

This has been suggested time and again. It will not get you a house any better than the current system. Just get an apartment.

House is not essential and it is a luxury and on top there is also GC room and apartment

Yes but Square should have put preventive measures in place in the first place. Only one house per account be it FC or private. And so on, even IP lock but that opens another can of problems.
