Except they already do this. They outright said HoH was delayed back in 4.3 for no other reason than "we didn't want to overwhelm the playerbase with so much content." That's just one example. Ishgard Restoration is another. Do you really think they're still working on it three weeks before launch? They're sitting on it because they don't want people feeling rushed.

Yes and I still don't see the point of sitting on it for 3 weeks to "not rush players". If you feel the need to rush then that's on you. Even for a week 1 clear you don't need to start exactly on release day unless you plan to literally raid all 7 days of the week (who the fuck actually does this?) and then it's simply something you have to deal with.

The point is ultimately irrelevant. They do it, and likely will continue to do so. Asking for Savage to be delayed is effectively the same thing.

And if you're aiming for a week one kill, you're running every day. Why should we "have to deal with it" though? Once again, crafters don't have to deal with the Firmament being released at the same time. Although, this is a solution—at least to the cut-scene problem. They can either allow you to unlock Savage without having completed Normal mode. Just slap a warning message on the NPC. Alternatively, put the raid story in New Game+ immediately instead of waiting until the expansion ends. They have Coil, Alex and Omega in there. So we know Gaia will be as well. Just put it in now and you solve one of the complaints.
