Really hope next savage tier is delayed.

People keep conflating world racing with week 1/2 prog. If your aim is the latter, then getting in as much time as possible becomes a significant benefit.

I was in this exact situation with my 5.2 static. Two members worked all day and I and the Scholar were our only omni-crafters. Since the majority wanted to jump into Savage that evening, it meant we all needed to skip cut-scenes otherwise we wouldn't have the time. So what happened? The two who worked had someone else log in for them, rush the whole story and I skipped everything myself so I could focus on crafting. All because we wanted to shoot for a week 1 clear.

Considering the devs delay almost everything, I fail to see why a week delay for Savage is such a big deal. Look at Ishgard Restoration. They're turning off the game for five hours tomorrow just to update the next cycle instead of patching it in with 5.3 proper. Why? Because it'd make people who want to race for the title have to ignore story otherwise they'd have no chance of catching up. Only twelve players actually get anything out of that competition, and it has a decidedly smaller population than Savage. So once again, why can't Savage have a week delay?

Yes and I made that argument exactly because I see no point in staggering content that has already been done and tested for an arbitrary amount of time just because.

Except they already do this. They outright said HoH was delayed back in 4.3 for no other reason than "we didn't want to overwhelm the playerbase with so much content." That's just one example. Ishgard Restoration is another. Do you really think they're still working on it three weeks before launch? They're sitting on it because they don't want people feeling rushed.
