I don't hate pink, infact I rather like it
I just find it funny that people call the Fire Stingray "the red car" lol

This game uses a fairly broad definition of color.
It doesn't take into account various tones that can make up a color. I've seen armor called blue at one level and in later levels a similar armor takes a darker shade.

The boot's are red in a technical sense. Pink is an interesting color as it's one that has an individual name in spite of it's just being light red. The game avoids particularly loud colors to help retain a natural look, but it would be helpful to have more color options within those boundaries, and also have those options correctly named.

    And THIS happened....

I wouldn't mind them being pink if they were made from pink dye and said "pink" in the name...
But RED???? Red these are not

LMAO this exact same thing happened to me too the other day. Remake the boots in blue as the culottes have a blue hue to them and it sorta works in the colour scheme... At least thats what I did.

The only issue with all that is that we've had gear marked pink before that looked like that. That is clearly pink gear, as was previously defined. Not to mention a lot of the older dye colors were more specifically named.

It's the bastard child of red and white that they put up for adoption and disavowed any knowledge of because they were so horribly ashamed of that monstrosity.

Also it's not "light red". Light red is light red. That's pink. A grapefruit is not a larger orange. It's a grapefruit.

I also fall into a lesser category of "deal with it" but not because it's "a light red"... it's not. The colour is flat out mislabeled. Rather I'm in that category because SE is not in the business of making sense. If they want to label things randomly then so be it, just find the re-labeled colour you like best and run with it.

edit: I thought I might have given you magenta or fuchsia but it really isn't that either... that's just old fashioned pink.
