I'm convinced this person has no idea how being a company works. Also, no he's talking about the 4 seater mount from eden savage. Do the work, get the reward. Plain and simple.

If you mean me then yes I know perfectly well how a company works, which is excatly why I dont buy some of the PR talk that Yoshida says.

And no he did not only talk about the savage mount. His anwer was directly to me (and others) saying that this could have been a perfect quest rewards which in his opinion was not enough work for that. Which for me is funny because right now the only work to do is to open your wallet. I mean if we see it like that then why should we ever get a new mount "for free" ingame again? I mean there a quite the numbers of normal mounts to choose right?

And if paying rl money for a digital good is work then doing it in a quest is work too. You have to after all pay real life money for the sub and the expansion and on top of that have to play the game in some kind of way.

Making money IRL is significantly more work than anything you're doing in game to get a free 4 person mount. IRL dollars are valued much higher to a lot of people which is why this thread began in the first place.

Opening your wallet comes with a lot more connotations than you're giving credit. If it didn't, people wouldn't try to downplay people that are better off by calling them whales.

Money doesn't grow on trees or come easy for some people. So let people enjoy themselves, if they didn't have the time to get the Regalia, or missed the event, it's nice that SE has an optional alternative for those that can afford it/want it.

So you are saying that opening up your wallet (and how the people earned the money is completely different for each of them) is harder than for example putting the mount behind Ultimate and clearing that? (Which would in turn be opening your wallet to pay the sub and expansion, and a huge amount of time and dedication and skill to beat it..that imo is much harder than just opening your wallets.)

Also wouldnt it be better to put the mount inside the game (which you still need to pay the sub for if you even want to use the mount..) if it should be so great for those that missed the other four seaters instead of people having to pay for it? Again why does it need to be in the mog station for that and exactly which such a high amount of money? (With that kind of money you would have nearly been able to buy Shadowbringers)

And sry whales is a definition done by the gaming industry for a certain part of their customers. If you buy one item you are probably not a whale. Most of the companies count regular spenders as those (some already if you spent 25 dollars per month, some with a higher sum).

In the end I dont care if you buy one or not. I will not talk you down ingame for it either. I WILL continue to voice my opinion against SE and not just be fine with it...because at the very start this whole cash shop started out as event only..and there people warned others that this will change and that we will get unique stuff in it. There they got told to shut up and not be so dramatic and see where we are now..If nobody complains about the items and/or the prices then SE might just increase them more and more...which is good for none of us. (Only if you really want to spend x amount of money with each item but then I doubt that its about the item itself but about showing off that you are able to purchase something like that)
