I have listened. But till now I have yet to hear any good argument. My full argument is: This is too expensive for a bare basic mount, and this will set a precedent for other mounts to also be priced expensive.

I am simply mocking the "Value is subjective", it is subjective, yes. But I am saying that there should be objectively more value in an objectively higher priced item.

Because just saying: "Value is subjective" is not enough. By this logic I think SWAT 4 should still be priced $48 should be priced because it is a masterpiece, but it is priced at $9,99.

Except the price is based on mount functions.

It is an account wide mount that seats 4. So it's more expensive than the account wide mounts that seat 2, and way more than single char mounts or account wide mounts that seat 1.

If you think a product doesn't justify it's price then you, as a consumer, don't buy it, or wait until the price drops. Simple. No one is forcing people to buy something they don't want/need. This mount in particular is something no one literally needs to enjoy the game, and it's up to each of us to spend on it or ignore it. Every person has the right to spend/waste his/her money the way they want, and we have no right to tell others what is ok, or not ok, to buy. If people want to buy this mount, so be it; Personally i won't, since it's the same price as 2 months of sub. There's a f*ckload of mounts already in the game taht i still haven't obtained anyway.

So what? if this were a game where every mounts has a different speed, and cash shop mounts were the faster one, you could've a valid point. But it's not the case. Also, most mounts in the Online Store are crap anyway.

The precedent has already been set. Just check the prices of most other mounts on the mogstation. Comparably, it's not even much of an increase in price. If the community wants to see change with future mogstation products, as I have said time and time again, don't like it don't buy it. Collectively, vote with your wallet.

The mount is 4 seats with 4 different poses for the characters, which vary depending on if you're a male, a female, or a lalafell. Of course it's going to be more expensive than the other 1 seat or 2 seats mounts.

Personally, I have nothing against the cash shop because it helps fund the game (as many people have said), and that translates into more and nicer content for everyone.

Then you need to check the history of mount prices in the store:

this mount: 4-seater, account-wide - $35.99
Indigo whale and Fat Moogle: 2-seaters, account-wide: $29.99
1-seaters, account-wide: $24.00
1-seaters, character-bound: $12.00

They've been very consistent with prices. If there is an increase in price, it's because the mount has more feature. So that precedence has been set long before this mount. So if people want an 8-seater, and one appears in the online store, expect it to be more expensive. Otherwise, expect a new mount to be the price as other similarly-featured mounts.

You realize it is value in relation to functions within the game not in relation to your own perception... yes?

its $47.14 CAD ($35.99 USD) for me. It's one of the reasons why I can see how some people are shocked at the price. While I believe these products are clearly targeted towards those with disposable income, its a s shame they get to dictate the price. SE will most likely see that people are buying it, given that's its a reused asset and most likely broke even or making profit off it by now, they will be less inclined to lower the price in the future. It's all business in the end but I can tell this cash cow that is the mogshop will only get more egregious, especially the shift towards glamour based endgame. If I can buy a full aestetic crafting set with the off hand tools for all 8 jobs for the price of a lvl 1 hawaiian shirt that should say something about the priorities of this games player base (I am no exception).

Superfluous items is king and that includes items on the cash shop. Its a 4-seater mount, there are 2 in-game (eden savage, FFXV crossover*) but this one is modeled after the chocobo ground mount that NPC uses. They all function the same yet have vastly different value. The only reason that baffles me is why people by these cash shop mounts and all you get is the generic mount music. You would think for something with a price tag outside of the game they would put a bit more effort into it.

Crafting the ilvl490 (HQ) gear doesn't require anything from the freaking treasure maps, while the Southern Seas Shirt/Skirt/Trousers/Shoes do. Of course it'll be expensive

Oh SE, making the new event quest about how people should not follow the money and that there is something more important than getting rich and at the same time releasing the most expensive mog station item on the exact same time which could have easily been a quest reward....

Not trying to defend SE but I see people do this all the time. Bring up that we lost a dungeon and deep dungeon but not mentioned things that we have gotten.

Yes and all the time we got an increase in sub..so imo we should have gotten all these changes on top of the basics..honestly the game seemingly runs so good that its a large part of the income for SE..yet we are forced to lose basics like dungeons to get some other necessary changes?

Some of you guys need to dial it back a tad, you're not the second coming of Jesus Christ just because you splashed out £30 on the mogshop.

You bought what bought for yourself, you bought it because you wanted it. You didn't buy it to save the game, you didn't buy it as some kind of favour to us smelly poors, and you didn't buy it because the servers would shut down otherwise. Don't go parking your literal whales ass right in my face and getting upset that I don't wanna kiss it.

Honestly I am fine if people spend their money on cash shop (I did it too in the past until it got too much) but I agree...instead of just saying: I bought it because I wanted it some seem to want to give some strange reasons..as if deep down they dont feel that good about just spending money for it..

You know if you search on youtube for "Lets go whaling" with the CEO Torulf Jernström, you find a whole video done about how they use the people (in their view whales) to make money. You know what one of his points is? That a company should tell the people that they are supporting the devs and the game with it and that its necessary because of costs..yet he says that this is a complete lie..this is only to make people think that they are helping..instead its just about earning the most amount of money.

So yes you are free to spend your money as you want and I would not fault you for it. But lets not pretend that this isnt just done to get the company more money..
