Mog money goes back into the game? Coulda fooled me with all the corners they've been cutting this expansion. The FF XIV cash shop is a gold mine.

Yes, I'm sure the physical server expansion they're currently working on is coming straight out of the devs own pockets.

Why is it that people arguing this point always seem to forget the times where actual things were introduced or expanded to the game. Like whole new datacenters.

And it took forever for that to happen. We haven't seen anything truly significant like that happen for a long, long time. The money the cash shop brings in, while helpful, just isn't enough for what the game needs. And I sincerely doubt that ALL of it goes back into the game itself.
