Sure, you can give criticism on the official forum.

But going around calling people bootlickers, whales (exact terms you used in your first post), idiots, and being rude is 99.9% likely to have anything you could have possibly said ignored than ever taken seriously by anyone who could theoretically pass it to the devs, as it gives off the appearance of childish whining than constructive criticism.

The game industry leaders themselves call us “Whales”, yet these types bat for them and even embrace it. Also, I never called anyone in particular those things in the beginning, and even though I was making a sarcastic off hand comment it worked in making some very sensitive people on here foam and try to attack me instead of actually arguing against my points. I’m not here to convince said “bootlickers”, nothing persuades them, I’m here to voice my feedback, even if to some it’s not “real” as I didn’t buy the fake pixel mount in a subscription video game. Nothing pleases you guys, that’s why there’s little point wearing the kiddy gloves and just saying it how it is.

Now I can’t wait to see the whales who have more money than sense and the bootlickers brigade hiss and spit at us poor plebeians for daring to criticise and mock how ridiculously bad taste the price and timing of this Mount being added to the store is.

He isn't inherently wrong though. You aren't just criticising SE but mocking everyone else who does not share your opinion. Say this carriage mount is the only mogstation purchase someone makes all year; their splurge if you will. 36/12 is $3, or the price of two chocolate bars a month. For a good chunk of people that price isn't something they'll bat an eyelash over. Why is it any business of yours how they spend their money? People "waste" money on all sorts of luxury things, be it going out to fancy restaurants, clothes (which have an insane mark up, by the way) and so forth.

All that aside, while it isn't "free" in the technical sense. Our subscription covers the four month updates we receive which is a rarity for MMOs. WoW updates once a year; BDO will wind up costing you more if you want to indulge in any of its activities despite being "free to play". Just because there's a global pandemic doesn't mean SE has any obligation to give us a mount. Would it be nice? Sure. But them opting not to do so doesn't suddenly make them the devil either.

But I'm just a boot-licker, right? Because I choose to spend my money on things I want. FYI, I haven't purchased this mount nor do I intend to. I just don't care if others do.

Notice how it specifically targets your argument? You chose to completely ignore it and continue a pointless back and forth with JohnSpawnVFX and other users. You aren't looking to have a discussion or simply provide feedback. You're attacking every point of criticism you dislike and backpedaling whenever someone catches it.

This is objectively true. Individual perception of an objective fact isn't necessarily important.

Apropos of nothing, the chocobo cart mount seems bland and uninteresting to me and I could not justify spending 35$ on it. As for my thoughts on the cash shop, I have bought a few things from it when I was feeling particularly "rich", a personal failing.

I agree with the majority of Cled-cat's points.
