QTEs are OK, but I don't think this is really a game for them. Back in Resident Evil 4 sure, but here it's almost universally "Press X to Not Die" except, ironically, for the first implementation of it (Cruise Chaser in A11). It's either "break out of chains" or for tanks "hold off the attack" except Cruise Chaser, and button mashing isn't what QTEs are supposed to be about.
Past that I agree that the 5.3 Trial QTE is terribad. I play on PS4 and it takes a lot of effort (mashing every button on the controller, including the D-pad and shoulder buttons) to keep it from bottoming out. Combine that with one person failing meaning the whole fight starts over again, and you've got a recipe for annoyance. (I mean, I never failed it myself, but I can see why other people would.)
