Mogstation payment restrictions for Steam Accounts???? Seriously???

Crysta was designed during a time when Se was using a sort of sketchy third party for payment options (this was during 1.0) and many people complained so they added the crystal option so people wouldn't have to use that third company. Said 3rd company wasn't allowed In certain countries and certain banks had them automatically blocked.

I've used it in the past back before there was a shopping cart option where you could buy multiple items at once.


Payment providers are going to to see one lump sum more favorably than them receiving multiple charges of the exact same amount in a short period of time.

my original registration was through a 1.0 PC CE, and now i can only pay through steam, even though ive always bought physical copies for PC, i just also bought the steam version, seems like they enjoy subverting their customers to the point they no longer want to play.

I can buy things and sub/unsub/resub with no issue with my credit and debits cards despite having a Steam account. All of it is done through the Mogstation/FF XIV store. Granted, I also have a PS4 account, but even when I'm playing on PC they don't require me to do anything through Steam when I want to buy something. About the only thing that does is Warframe, but that's usually 50/50. Sometimes they require a Steam login, sometimes they don't. So I'm not entirely sure what your issue is, but you may want to take it up with customer support.

Did you try a different browser or clearing your cache? Usually fixes it.

Also, why did you buy a steam version, they aren't compatible....
