FATEs are over-hunted. As a WHM I usually can place a DOT and target is dead already.
So, please let every players have a chance. Don't take FATEs for yourselves.

Unfortunately FATEs can be just like hunts, i.e. belonging to no one; so players will handle them however they please whether someone else needs it or not. The first week will be lots of activity so might be good to wait for it to die down a little, also if you're a night owl then doing FATEs late at night is good too because of less players being online at that time.

I get Gold most of the time: it seems my dots are enough... so I think if everyone there does about the same, ie. what their synced jobs let them do, they also get gold. Which is fine.
On the other hand, if BLU have access to overpowered skills even when synced, it's an unfair advantage over everybody else. I'm just stating that.

BLUs can use any spell they've have learned at level 1.

Wait. Seriously? Hopefully, that gets fixed quickly. It's the second time now they've done that too...

What could be nice for everyone is something like this:
- 1st week of event: BLU can't do it;
- 2nd week: BLU can;
- 3rd week: BLU can't;
- 4th week: BLU can;
And so on.
It would be official, there would be time for everyone and no reason to complain.

It seems like, in general, the drop rates have been raised pretty substantially. I remember during the last event the mere idea of getting the glowing mount seemed like it would take 4+ days of grinding, but I've seen a few people get that mount AND the flying chair already.
