    2. Retaining your all abilities when level synced. Preserving GCD speeds, crit rates ect when ilevel synced would be nice too.
    3. A wide variety of open world content. Use those beautiful expansion zones for something.
    4. Bosses and enemies that react to having abilities used on them.
    5. Material storage you can craft directly out of.
    6. One single, continuous, zoomable overworld map that includes all the zones in the game.
    7. Unlock armor/weapons skins without needing to save the item. A glamor menu that lets you preview skins you don’t have unlocked yet. Swap appearances anywhere, not just in cities.
Agree with all of them except 2, which is a hard disagree. It's a balancing nightmare. I don't know which is worse and I don't care, I just don't want to either be way too overpowered with my full kit in lower level content 'cause that's no fun for newbies, or do 10x as much work as somone to maybe do the same damage as them. I've honestly never seen a good use of this system in instanced content. :x

and can you define 4? I thiiiink I know what you mean, but can you give an example?

Character Creator: BDO, or really any game with sliders is a good thing to take a glance at here. There's a lot more room for it, they even let you manipulate the preset hairstyles to a degree. And despite the level of slider customization it ends up with no more clipping than all the games that use clipping as an excuse for limited customization. I get that as this is directly linked to a lot of things- emotes, gear sets, animations- it's probably not something easily changed, so perhaps something to keep in mind for FFXVIII or whatever the next mmo will be.

Exploration: So we do have searching for aether points to fly, and a bit of xp to get from finding vantage points. But otherwise- there's little in the ways of interesting mobs to farm, world loot drops, treasure chests, jumping puzzles (which I can understand since you can fly even indoors), or mini dungeons in the world. To me this stands out as one of the weakest points in the game- it's highly immersive in almost every other factor but the world itself is the twenty year old style of 'just a bunch of mobs standing around'.

Solo Challenges: the high point for me of WoW was the Mage Tower in Legion, a solo boss fight that tested your ability to pump out damage (or healing, or tank well), while also dealing with multiple mechanics, while also having a solid grasp of consumable and utility use. Its reward was only cosmetic, but this feels like it can benefit everyone- gives solo players something to strive for, still challenges group players, forces you to know mechanics/your class. Since it has a reward, it's like a high end tutorial in a way that has an actual reason for people to do it.

Add on support: for ps4 would be really nice, now that we're finally getting some games that have it.

I really only want 1 thing that is in all other mmos.

Endgame Guild Based Content that is more then vanity or RP centric. Game has literally 0 content designed with guilds in mind. Everything is duty finder / static party focused. I could make a list but this is the biggest thing FFXIV is lacking that is in other mmos.

    Account wide Glam log.
    Shared personal bank spaces.
    Sending tells in instances.
    Account-wide achievements.
Material storage ala GW2 or ESO, including crafting pulling from them first.

Raids that aren't "heres a circle or square platform you can fall off of or die if you touch the sides, also the boss has forced movement mechanics".

Raids with larger numbers of people.

Downsyncing retaining your abilities and any relevant alternate advancement added in the future.

    Alternate advancement system(s).

Something akin to mythic+ from WoW.

I've always liked small group content better than raids, and this game doesn't have any small group content that's not extremely casual and trivial.

Some legit challenging solo progression content would be fun to.

More things to do with exploring the overworld outside of city hubs.

    A few Solutions:

    - Gathering Fates
Where rare and exotic crafting items pop up for a determinated amount of time where players have to compete with eachother with who can gather the most. If your get 1st, 2nd or 3rd place you win an extremely rare crafting item whose rarity goes down depending on the three placements you win in. Everybody under that just gets to keep what they managed to grab and the exp they earned.

    - Randomized quests
Random autogenerated daily quests that pop up all over world maps. Giving you various tasks and challenges in order to earn extra exp, rare items/gear and to explore more of the lore of FFXIV. Quests would be more than just killing random specified amount of enemies or gathering items randomly scattered somewhere, but quests that could potentially provide more meaning to the use of players with more than one job class, including gathering and crafting and even some sighting log type exploration as well.

The level/ilevel syncing in FFXIV is my single biggest complaint about the game, its easily the worst of any MMO I've played. Many jobs have become so backloaded with their skills that they feel miserable to play synced lower levels. BLM in particular feels horrible when synced since not only do my rotations get scrambled up, but all my spell speed materia gets turned off. I don't think it would be that bad to balance, nearly every other modern MMO manages it.

On 4, I'm referring to how enemies just sort of stand there when you hit them with your abilities. In GW2 some of the harder hitting abilities will knock enemies down, stun them, group them up or even send them flying through the air. Hitting enemies with an ability like Prime Light Beam or Gravity Well feels really satisfying. I imagine it would probably be near impossible to implement that in FFXIV though.

That sounds really cool, but I've never heard of that in an MMO.
    What MMOs have that?
