    In the new 5.3 EX trial I usually tell healers not to bother healing me after the tank buster since I always have NF ready for that with an infuriate ready to go if needed. I can get back to 50% or even full if i crit Equilibrium, which can proc for over 60k, very easily. This "buff" was needed and I put buff in quotations because it used to be tied to IB in Defiance while also giving you a rampart for 6 secs back in SB. The heals are nice but ultimately still a former shadow of what it once was. However WAR is now fluid to play and as someone who values the feel of a job I can say that WAR feels good. SE now being applied at the start of the animation is good too and the bump to max 1 min makes it less stressful to maintain, for a 10% dmg buff that used to be 20% in SB.

    No it wasn't. In 99% of the cases you're in length to use the cool down and War is clearing content. Not sure what you mean by a "former shadow" of itself. If you mean massively ahead in DPS, then yeah I guess so. But so what? It had a lot going for it and needed to take nerfs some where. Not sure what else you're referring to other than the game play being highly dumb down. Speaking of shadow of former selfs both PLD and DRK have both had a lot more taken away from them and given to all tanks.

    DRK's abyssal drain is nerfed to the ground. Lost it's fast action-per-second gameplay. Lost it's scourge. Lost Reprisal. Lost apart of it's counter style gameplay. Is the only tank that's still with a magic-onry cool down. Lost Low-blow. The only thing Drk is really known well for now is Darkest Night and lowering magical damage. I still think this is more akin to Rune Fencer or Celese from FF6.

    Pld lost rampart. Cover is 99.9% useless (it's series iconic ability). Shield bash is useless. Divine Veil forces you to waste resources unless the fight is scripted in your favor. The 10% damage increase from autos on sword oath was lost.

    Truth of the matter is that all the tanks lost a bit of themselves.
