Exclamation marks gone since 5.3.?

Greetings,

I just picked up fishing before patch 5.3. and when a fish was nibbling on my line, I would get one or more exclamation marks above it, indicating that I could reel it in. But since 5.3. those are gone. I still can fish because of the sound notification and the movement of the rod.

I read the patch notes back and forth, but didn’t find anything about removing them. Also can’t find anything in my settings to put them back on. What am I overlooking?

Go to Character Configuration > Character > Battle Effects Settings > Own > Click Show all

That controls if you see them or not. If that doesn't work then theres something very wrong with your game
