I'd more expect it end up being the Freelancer/Adventurer Limited Job Stone (i.e. get access to all class and job abilities) rather than anything directly tied to the Sun.It will be interesting if it turns out to be the source of a new job but only Job in FF series I know about that uses the Power of the Sun is Rain's Grandshelt Knight Job from FF Brave Exvius. Heck Rain's new Limit Break Extreme Nova for his Neo Vision self uses the power of 1000 suns to nuke a Galaxy and his King Rain version uses the power of a Sun to create Crimson Nova to blast a planet.

Yeah, I'm still not seeing that. I could more easily see us getting Tidus as a job inspiration than that, both have a Sun theme after all.Warning Contains Spoilers for 5.3....
Well we finally got the
Soul Crystal of our character's original Soul
and it has the Symbol of the Sun on it. There is only two ways this can go and I am guessing the next part of the storyline will have our character finally Awaken their original powers, it becomes a new Job for our character we unlock in 6.0 expansion, or both outcomes.

For me the fact that they wanted to not fight seems like a mark against that.
I could see that. It would certainly fit more. I'm not sure if it will lead to a job or not honestly. It just seems like a bit of a stretch. But another Limited Job would certainly fit, and be a nice way to stuff in some extra lore.
As far as what this changes... honestly hard to say. So much is up in the air currently hard to say one way or another what any of it means. Honestly I don't know that it changes my expectations much though.
Tidus as a character was more related to the waters of the ocean than the Sun. His signature weapon Brotherhood and ultimate weapon Caladbolg were designed to look like waters from the ocean as well.
A lot of his arts usually favors him being near water rather than him representing the Sun including his character and story always seem to lead him back to water. If anything, Tidus as a charater embodies the flow of water in the world and the freedom it has for being so vast and reaching to even places no one will expect.
Rain, on the other hand, is a character in the FF series that has his entire character personality is based on being the Sun that guides others out of times of despair and his greatest strength is how bright he is even during dark times just like the sun. His character symbol is that of the Sun itself.

I don't think that was actually even a job stone. Were we just walking around in that cutscene picking up 12 different new class stones? I was under the impression that those were basically badges that they held for their position in the convocation.
