Ok so, I think Ive seen you use this Phrase alot, and help me out....What exactly does this mean?
What are we aiming to get out of Male Viera by by making them ""Classically Handsome""? What will they get compared to a Hyur besides Bunny Ears? And maybe being taller, or as some want, shorter.

I agree with your point. Classically handsome is completely subjective to every single culture. And not only culture but times too. In the past it would have been a no go for men to use beauty products and shave more than their beards. Now you have sex symbols that are as clean shaven as some women. (I mean on their whole body)

Heck yesterday while researching what makes someone more feminine I came about a page where they said that there was a study and most females that took part in the study just liked slightly muscular men (so in that case Midlanders of Miquotes). Does that mean that this is classically handsome? Problably not.

(I just googled it and the pictures are so widely spread..from Leonardo Di Caprio, to George Clooney, to Brad Bit, to the actor of Thor and then a side where seemingly Harry Styles is one of the most handsome man alive...Robert Pattison is up there too)

Classically handsome is people like Dwayne Johnson "The Rock" or John Cena.

Wait what? If that was true, the most popular FFXIV characters among female players would be Roegadyns or other bulky-only guys. But let's take a look at NPCs who we call handsome:

Haurchefant - a tall and quite slim guy with relatively delicate face. He's not big and brute, his look is gentle like everything about him. At some point he was the most loved 'husbando' in the game, even though he looks pretty generic. There is nothing extraordinary about his appearance and still a lot of female players call him handsome.

Aymeric - the same as above, but he doesn't look generic. He has got his own face, hairstyle and clothes (well, they are added to Mogstation now, but they weren't in the past). He looks like a noble prince, not like a 'classicaly handsome' man in your terms and still he has got a lot of female fans.

Hien - I know many female players liked him a lot in Stormblood. He is well-built, but still has got a Midlander's face and long hair.

G'raha Tia/Crystal Exarch - a cute kitty boy with red eyes and long hair. He looks quite feminine, he's original from head to toe and have got a lovely fluffy tail. Maybe I'm wrong but I think he's a more popular 'husbando' than Haurchefant now.

Emet-Selch - he's tall and definitely more masculine than G'raha, but still: he has got big eyes, he wears make-up and likes eccentric clothes. I personally love the fact he has got a very childlike expression - you can literally 'read' him by looking at his face, even if he's not honest.


As you can see, these guys look really different and there is absolutely nothing 'classically handsome' about them, but still they are ideal examples of male beauty for many girls and women. I'm afraid you really have to change your definition of 'classically handsome' men.

You winning a discussion would actually require two things:

1. You actually stating facts, and not opinions
2. You actually winning and not just declaring that you won them (in your opinion)

And you do get personal. You immediately attack any opinion that is opposite to yours.
