Rowena's House of Splendors isn't going away. They're just removing the ability to craft regular recipes as collectables and adding new "always crafted as collectable" recipes specifically for handing into Rowena's. So you can get Business Associate from those.
Which would be interesting considering how hairstyles (for normal races) was something they proudly showcased in the Live Letters, then that stopped, then it was moved to something they only show in the Promotional site. If they show it in the full patch notes now there's something to be said: how did it go from being a promotional feature to being a patch note mention the day of the patch? In my opinion, if that happens, it feels like they know how much they screwed up the handling of new hairstyles this expansion, to the point where it's not something you use to sell your product (promotional website). If they were so confident in the female Viera/Hrothgar split and not modifying hats/helmets they really shouldn't be hiding the hairstyles they won't get, just be proud of your decision.
Well that's reassuring. I've had problems sleeping so have been running on empty for a few days, and read that as Rowena's just up and vanishing. So now I have over 1k linen yarn in my inventory as I (not nearly as much anymore) furious craft Ramie cloth.
It's likely if there are hairstyles they'll be in the 5.31 Ishgard stuff I think the last ones were and they want to cut down on the 'where do i get the hairstyle' questions when it isn't yet obtainableWhich would be interesting considering how hairstyles (for normal races) was something they proudly showcased in the Live Letters, then that stopped, then it was moved to something they only show in the Promotional site. Out of idle curiosity, all the people saying that Coincounter is unfair and needs the markers and whatnot, is Chimera okay? It's roughly the same in terms of effects, though I suppose slightly more survivable, but last I was in there still didn't have AoE markers.
I've never seen the Chimera's attacks 1 hit kill anyone. Coincounters will 1 hit kill you unless you're level synched; so it basically will always 1 hit kill new players running the content. That's my issue with it; an attack that isn't telegraphed should never be a 1 hit kill.
I don't think anyone's even saying that it 'needed' to be changed. I wasn't exactly on the forums lobbying for him to be nerfed before this, but now that it's done I do agree with it.
I'm kind of surprised that the changes to CoinCounter are seen as so problematic, especially considering we don't even really know how they work yet. Maybe the AoE indicators will appear essentially so late in the cast time that you still can't really effectively dodge them such that they only show the area you should be out of next time the attack comes. And/or maybe they won't change other similar enemy types such that CoinCounter just acts as a training tool for other fights with similar enemies later.
Anyway, it's always nice to see the notes laid out so that we know what to expect and what to plan for on patch day.
I will say that the changes to PvP to make it faster and punchier actually make me potentially more interested in at least trying it out.
I, for one, would be ever grateful if that Chimera in Cutter's Cry had telegraphs. It is so difficult to read the chat windows while trying to get through a level 38 Bard rotation as it is. And don't get me started about that 'hint' window that covers up the chat window whenever I use the mouse for things on the right side of my action bar.
Here's hoping that "Required Reading the Chat Window" while in a boss battle goes the way of all the dodos I killed in La Noscea.
