Wait WHAT did someone do the math? Is it really more "profitable" if you only care about scrips and server progress?
Yes. 70 recipes are 20 scrips vs 60 scrips for regular 80 crafts. Since the 70 recipes are 2 step, vs about 11 steps for the 80, they're faster to complete.
Ofc it consumes far more mats and you don't get a kupo scratch card, so it's up to personal preferemce.
But why change it at all then? Even with just giving it another number it still a new achievement. Something that achievement hunters would want especially since its limited. If that is all to change than maybe not change it at all. Just let it stay that way and people will participate since you can only get 12 winners per round anyway.
they already pretty much stated they don't care about achievement hunter by removing diadem anyway, why start now?
Learning that people can/will use bots to do expert recipes is rather troubling as it's insanely easy to tell if they're doing it out in the open in the Firmament or some other public area.
They rapid fire actions constantly because they don't need to stop to math things out like an actual player, which gives them an even bigger advantage as they're able to churn crafts out faster as a result; contrary to virtually every other form of botting where they're generally less efficient then manual play.

And now they're flat out removing the achievement for completing the flying chocobo quest since the quest itself will be removed. Obviously everyone here has it, but any new players are just flat out screwed out of that achievement forever now. SE is really setting a bad standard this expac with all these instances of achievement removal and it is really making me fear for what they're going to remove without warning next.
"Surprise! Eureka achievements have been removed because you should just be doing Bozja now anyways, you have 24 hours to get all 15 Eureka weapons before they're gone forever!" Obviously they would never do that. But you know what, is it really that obvious anymore with the direction they seem to be taking towards old content and old achievements?

To be fair, they're starting extremely late in the game. So that Chocobo achievement is meh at best. And won't count towards anything for them. This has to do with very very recent additions and going back on a statement they made regarding it.And now they're flat out removing the achievement for completing the flying chocobo quest since the quest itself will be removed. I mean, it's still an achievement, with a title no less. "Lighter than Air" will no longer be possible to get come 5.3. The point is they feel like they can just go back on anything they say, remove content without due warning, and just step all over the playerbase whenever they feel like it, and it's gotten much worse since Shadowbringers. Never have they pulled this kind of crap so frequently before. I'm getting really tired of it, and it's sad that I dread new patches and what they're taking away more than I look forward to them anymore.

I'm not an achievement hunter but I feel like that's something you accidentally fall into after you realize how close you are to having all of them and then it completely takes over your life. Like collecting Funko Pops.
