If this game truly listens to it's comunity PLEASE make Viera able to wear head gear!

If Miqo'te can wear head gear why can't Viera too?
It's really nasty to change the race and not be able to wear all the head glamours you bought or farmed really hard for.
Just make it look like they ears are floppy when they wear head gear, or don't show them at all. I know people will come and say if they don't have the bunny ears then that's not a Viera at all, but it should be people's choice whether they want to show them or not to be honest. As a glamour addict Viera is the only race that pleases to me and not being able to fully wear my glamour sets really upsets me .
I don't know if anyone will relate to me but I still thought it worth sharing this.

Originally, they were set on not letting them wear anything at all on their heads. Then some of the dev team worked in their spare time to make around...500 or so available I think? Yoshi P also said that they would work on adding more over time. We haven't seen them add more, sadly, but I'm guessing at least some of that has to do with the pandemic. They are 2 months behind schedule, apparently, so they've got bigger things to work on I guess.

Is that a good comparison, though? Viera ears are much larger than Miqo'te ears The Fran's headpiece has two gapping holes to let Viera ears out. iicr, Viera were almost never seen with hats, aside from a few tactics artwork with designs based around it. I can totally understand the outrage for the lack of hair, but how do you expect to wear helms or caps without massive clipping or gear redesigns?

I gave the comparison with Miqo'te 'cause some head gears, if not all, are redesigned for them. And for the massive clipping, that's why I said make them look floppy/or not shown at all.

No, I'm not talking about FFXIV. I mean they've almost never worn hats or helms in any previous Final Fantasy game. I especially don't think they've worn hats in FFXII. The only exceptions were a handful of Viera-specific headbands in FF Tactics, which was why I mentioned it in my comment. I really hope you're not one of those people who think Viera started in FFXIV lol

Those are slightly under HALF of available Viera jobs (and as such, available Viera sprites) in FFTA (with one of 2 new jobs in A2), counting the 2 jobs that have "a headband" (Summoner and Archer), then it's exactly HALF the available Viera jobs IN the game that ORIGINATED the race. Because they appeared in TA before they appeared in XII.

and the Viera Wood Warders also wear a mask that also goes past their ears

But, I've mentioned Viera in Tactics wearing head pieces in my post. And honestly, your examples aren't 3D, interchangeable models or complex objects like in FFXIV. And I'll admit, I didn't see that 3D Viera model before. But the helm was still made specifically for Viera. What other race is going to be able to wear that? And, as it stands, Viera aren't going to wear the Dragoon helms without radically changing the designs around the ears.

Edit: I should also add that you can change the ear length and type for Viera. That will certainly effect how the head piece will look on them

I'm pretty sure there are separate teams that work on each field, Viera headgear won't delay any patch.

Yes and no. The people fitting head gear onto viera and hrothgar would likely be the same people fitting all new armor designs onto character models.

So while it may not say, delay the design of a new boss fight or story cutscene, it would pull those artists away from other things for new pieces of gear coming out, when they're already behind schedule.

I'm all for them adding more viera/hrothgar head pieces when they have the time, but like with them removing sex restrictions on gear, it's something they need to do at their own pace as they have time, because there's always new armor sets coming to work on they have to keep up with too.
