I've never in my entire time playing see a dungeon take the full duration.

Consider yourself lucky.
Once had a Keeper of the Lake run that ran out of time due to a first time healer who struggled mightily.
We were all supportive of her efforts (thus sticking out for the entire runtime) but for whatever reason, it just wasn't working out.
That's the thing though.
It was crystal clear that she was genuinely trying, so as painful as it was, I stuck it out and offered what help I could.
On the flip side, I have bailed on groups within the first 15 minutes as soon as it was clear that some of them were just screwing around

Healing dungeons with tanks who are slow is mind numbingly boring. Your job is to hold hate and pull stuff. It is a healers job to set the pace. If a healer is running ahead of you because you are stopping at packs its probably because they are bored because you are pulling too small of groups. If you are pulling anyway and just lagging behind then use sprint.

Well, Hall of the Novice training hall actually makes a specific point of Tanks NOT to rush, during the enmity using long range skills training. So ah....

I'm fine with either way, to be honest. Wall to wall pull with 100000000000000000000000000000 enemies on the screen, sure, 2-3 groups at a time, sure, whatever, it's really not a big deal either way.

But to answer that other question, if you can show someone how to improve (as opposed to simply telling them to improve) without being needlessly confrontational and/or insulting, then I don't consider that being toxic. For example, I've seen people simply say, "Please AOE." That's not toxic. I hope that clarifies it.

One time I said in Cutters Cry "melee LB" on the 2nd boss as a fellow dps who had only the ranged one available.. They used it, but then proceeded to tear into me because I was a mentor at the time. After that I was simply done with the whole Mentor thing and never looked back. I'd imagine the reaction might have been less severe had I not had my crown on though, but it goes to show that some people will take offense to anything. Never underestimate people. I don't encounter this sort of thing often and I don't think it's all that common, but it is truly something else when it does occur. Before that instance and after I have never seen someone react so negatively to LB calling, so it is most certainly an outlier of sorts. 99.99999% of the time the call goes out, the LB is performed (or not sometimes) and that's that.

Yeah, just going from your words, I don't understand what the issue is. Like, what did the other person complain about?

I don't remember the entire conversation, only that my very taken aback self responded with something like "And people wonder why mentors don't help sometimes". Wasn't my finest moment, but I was just...shocked. Losing my cool isn't something that happens very often, so someone's really gotta press my buttons to make it happen. It was definitely that toxicity thing that people bring up around here pretty often. Thankfully it isn't as common as some believe.

Ok, I would say that person is being toxic in this case. It's one thing if they disagreed with and ignored what you said, but to lash out like that is a problem.

You can large pull in this game in a party with 0 healers. with 4 tanks and not even clemency spamming you can mass pull every dungeon this expac and not die. Solo and duo pulls can be handled by a party of 4 dps. If you're a tank in a proper party setup you can large pull a dungeon even in minimum item level. With all of the additional safety blankets of ilvl and a proper team setup, any tank who feels like they can't do more than one pack should jump in the deep end or get off the tank role.
