Man, I just grabbed up this here hobby and it's chain pulls all the way down. Ain't never had no problem with it - and I can already spot when some slackin' sod's really harshin' my vibe and doin' things all-all wrong, and yet I'm a green lil' grub by comparison.

Elitist attitudes are pretty admirable when they're put to stuff that's really industrious and matters in the meatspace, dig? But they're a little lame when applied to somethin' like a hobby.
By contrast, defeatist slacker attitudes are pretty bugged out wherever you apply 'em. Bad vibrations all around. "Pull your weight" is a bit more sympathetic, 'specially in spots where you're pullin' maybe a five-pound dumbbell or so at most.

But I gotta ask - exactly how does a fella get to the point where they're goin' way too sub-optimal? Like, skinny is, I'd be absolutely bored out of my zonkin' mind if I just tried to heal exclusively in the stuff I've been tossed into. If I was just spammin' a filler ability and never usin' no groovy cooldowns, I'd be takin' a nap as a damage. And how's a cat even come to ignore that they're barely takin' a scratch or that they've got the big panic buttons? Like, I'll level if it's a kid or somethin', but beyond that - I can't even grasp at how the thing happens. You gotta pointedly and with intent go out of your way to not hit an extra couple buttons - like, you gotta -try- to be inefficient, dig?

Personally, I'm less cautious in max level content. But in leveling roulette for example I tend to take it slow and then ramp things up when I get a feel for the group. With lvl 80 dungeons I usually just mass pull straight out of the gate.

That's a perfectly reasonable approach. You are far more likely to run into inexperienced players in lvling content, but at max lvl it is assumed you have some measure of competence. Not always the case though, sadly.

I suppose everyone has their own approach. I've only ever had one complaint since becoming a GNB main, thankfully, and that was just a salty healer blaming their lack of healing on someone else. So I must be doing something right. People are a lot less timid when it comes to blaming the healer or tank.

Many people tend to assume a death or wipe must be the tank or healer's fault because they are responsible for the well-being of the whole group. A few times I have had to explain we wiped because the dps is so low that both the tank and healer ran out of cds long before combat was over. Sometimes it happens because of a dc or lag with a dps, sometimes because both dps are simply bad. Thankfully it's rare for me that things get so awful that chain pulling is literally impossible.

I think the tank can do whatever kind of pulls they want. If someone wants to decide the pulls, they can queue as a tank. There's no "should" about it. If you want to race through a dungeon to get tomes or whatever, set up a PF. Otherwise, accept whatever you get in DF. Period.

Then the tank should accept that they may get kicked, or everyone else will do the pulling for them.

If the tank is one of those "you pull, you tank" people and cause a wipe, then chances are they will be kicked because they pretty much outed themselves as the party dictator.

EDIT: I had actually said something else in this post, but honestly responding on the super sensitive tryhards just enables them anyway because all they do on the forums is argue to feel superior, so I've deleted it all, but I also wanted to explain why instead of just having a blank "post deleted" thing.

A lot of people in this thread just want to argue to feel like they're better at the game somehow, and they really should just be ignored.
